The 1989 comedy-drama, "Family Business", was to me, a very well-done film! This film was adapted from the 1985 novel of the same name, by author, Vincent Patrick. I own, and have read the Pocket Books novel, and I enjoyed both the book & the film immensely. Although I've detected a few slight variances between the book, and the film. For example, Sean Connery's character of Jessie McMullen, in the book, is of Irish ancestry. However in the film, Jessie is of Scottish ancestry. Also in the book, Jessie, Vito, and Adam, went to California in order to commit the caper. But in the film, it was a biology lab located in Nassau County, Long Island, New York, where the caper commenced.
