Fancy Nancy’s family is not fancy at all. Which is relevant in my house because our 7-year-old daughter is the fancy daughter of parents who are not fancy at all. I think different families would feel differently about Nancy being so fancy... For us, this book just honors how our daughter came into the world, and she loves that Nancy’s parents are plain and she can still be herself. If you have a child who is extremely feminine in a household that isn’t, this may be the book for you!
