It's cute the way she talks about how her parents spell words they don't want her sister to know but since she is older she can figure them out now. There is a life lesson in this book about honesty and cheating that is very important for little ones
to learn in my opinion. This book covers it well.
Overall we love this book just as we love the others, the life lesson, the illustrations, and the spelling of the words on the list are great.
I have nothing negative to add at this time.

For each fancy word that is being used there would be a definition in terms of a simpler word. In any Fancy Nancy book you will find the vocabulary splendid. In this book, Nancy and her friend have a spelling test and Nancy masters these words. But being a little girl that she is, she does not remember a spelling during the test. This book also teaches values and how it is wrong to cheat.
The number of pages in the book is around 10-15. Big letters and about 3 sentences per page makes it perfect for the beginner readers.
Overall a wonderful book and pre-schoolers between the ages of 3-5 connect with Nancy.
