Have you ever wanted to go to magic school? To cast spells and brew potions and fly on broomsticks and—perhaps—battle threats both common and supernatural? Come with us into worlds of magic, where students become magicians and teachers do everything in their power to ensure the kids survive long enough to graduate. Welcome to ... Fantastic Schools.
Come join a young girl who goes home to face the shadows of the past, three young misfits at a school that may be all misfits, a young woman who must use her wits to win back her best friend from the giants of Dartmoor, a young man who must resist being permanently drawn into the magical world of winter, and students trying to find the best possible prank to disrupt a school holiday ceremony.
Follow us into worlds different, magical ......
And very human.

About the authors
Misha Burnett has little formal education, but has been writing poetry and fiction for around forty years. During this time he has supported himself and his family with a variety of jobs, including locksmith, cab driver, and building maintenance.
His first four novels, Catskinner's Book, Cannibal Hearts, The Worms Of Heaven, and Gingerbread Wolves comprise a series, collectively known as The Book Of Lost Doors.
Major influences include Tim Powers, Samuel Delany, William Burroughs, and Phillip K. Dick.
More information about upcoming projects can be found at http://mishaburnett.wordpress.com/
Morgon Newquist started life by causing an international incident in Central America, and has been marching to the beat of her own drummer ever since. She grew up in the Rocket City - Huntsville, Alabama. After a stint at the University of Georgia to study Latin, she has returned to the place of her upbringing where she wrangles two dogs, a cat, and four children daily.
She is an avid fan of fantasy, science fiction, gaming of all types and other nerdy pursuits.
Her current focus is an ongoing saga of sword and sorcery short stories called The School of Spells and War. The first novella, Down The Dragon Hole, is highly rated and continues to introduce many new fans to the series.
Morgon has worked as a freelance writer off and on since 2007, and written for video game mythologies, table top RpGs, online game guides, and blogs as well as her own short works. She has several published short stories and is currently working on several novels.
Denton's day job used to require a lot of travel and hence a lot of time on airplanes and in airports. Because of this, it allowed lots of writing time. When the pandemic hit, he had developed the bad habit of writing. Therapy hasn't helped.
The stories tend to be extensions of a terrible tendency to tell lies and make things up. Truth can be so limiting and the fairy tales and legends he heard growing up sounded like a much for fun world. So many stories draw on Eastern European folklore.
They also tend to include pandas. Because pandas rock.
Mostly he works as a physical scientist, which is why he likes fantasy. He also likes dogs, coffee, and food. All kinds. His hobbies include metalwork and woodwork, although he dabbles in many things. He can be found at dentonsalle.com
Fiona Grey lives in the Midwest with an amazing husband and Writing Cat. After years of technical writing and editing, her creative brain escaped into the wild, likely as a consequence of severe overeducation. She enjoys thinking nonlinearly and introversion. Other people claim this is “weird,” which is unsubstantiated.

Barb Caffrey is a writer, editor, musician and composer from Wisconsin. She holds two degrees, is an inveterate and omnivorous reader, and is the writer of the comic urban fantasy/romance AN ELFY ON THE LOOSE, its sequel A LITTLE ELFY IN BIG TROUBLE, and a wholly unrelated LGBTQ-friendly fantasy romance with spiritual overtones, CHANGING FACES. (The latter has also been called "Freaky Friday" on acid. She'll take that as compliment.)
Her stories and poems have appeared (or will appear) in many places, including several Darkover anthologies (the most recent being CITADELS OF DARKOVER), HOW BEER SAVED THE WORLD, FANTASTIC SCHOOLS HOLS, and many more.
She's the widow of Michael B. Caffrey (1958-2004), and has vowed that Michael's work -- his words -- will live on as long as there are people to read them. It's because of this vow that she's republished Michael's Adventures of Joey Maverick series, which currently consists of "A Dark and Stormy Night" and "On Westmount Station." (More stories will be forthcoming -- promise.)
She follows politics, loves sports, watches far too much reality TV and finds the judicial reality TV show "Hot Bench" cathartic. What all this says about her is anyone's guess. Find her at Elfyverse (AKA "Barb Caffrey's Blog") for discussions of all and sundry, or visit her at Facebook . . . she promises she won't bite. (Much.)
Longtime reader, recently published writer. MA in Political Science and Doctoral work specializing in Courts and Public Policy. He grew up near the old family farmstead and published his first story in the dark days of 2020. He has published stories in fantasy and xianxia settings but has written work in horror, noir fiction, and science fiction as well, which he is very thankful were written under pseudonyms.
