Planet Stories was an American pulp science fiction magazine, published between 1939 and 1955. It featured interplanetary adventures, both in space and on other planets, and managed to obtain work from well-known names, including Isaac Asimov and Clifford Simak.
In 1952 Planet published Philip K. Dick's first sale, and went on to print more of his stories over the next years.

I found this book useful to me, in that I'm able to read some of the early Sci-Fi pulp material. Planet Stories was a favorite publication in the 1930s through the 1950s. I have only dipped my toe in this collection. I'm looking forward to some satisfying reading.

some really good, fun, well written, well paced, with good plots...others full of unmotivated, gratuitous, sudden violence, and really old-fashioned misogyny...and one story repeats, at 43 % and at 70%...no proofreading or editing, i guess...but ok for the price, a few hours of enjoyment, irritation and disgust, all mixed nicely...
