A refreshing show that doesn't produce cookie-cutter results
I really like this show. The star comes across as likeable, humble, personable, compassionate and skillful. He's not afraid to admit when he's wrong. I like his little side anecdotes, especially about his farm animals and in particular his favorite chicken. :) The results are stunning, and anything but cookie cutter. He tries to preserve the historical features when practical, but I wouldn't say he's a purist - he does go modern with conveniences and finishes when appropriate. Season 2, please! As far as the boy band stuff, that doesn't matter one bit to me. I'm interested in renovations, not boy bands.

Jonathan Knight makes this great
Boy Bands weren't in my wheel house growing up. But I kind of got charmed by Jon Knight. His personality shines through as genuine, fun, really kind + super skilled at home restoration. I would watch a 2nd season for sure!

Brilliant transformations!
I love the kind and grounded vibe of Jonathan. He's so talented but manages to be humble. I don't know how he had the time to learn carpentry and construction in his varied career...but glad he did. The transformations are beautiful. Hoping for a second Season!
