Finally, an enjoyable reality show about rebuilding cars!
Verified purchase
After enjoying the bounty of top-notch gritty, scripted dramas I found I needed a break. This show turned out to be just what the doctor ordered. Fast N' Loud covers the trials of a team of car flippers/rebuilders. Unlike so many other car-related reality shows, Fast N' Loud doesn't whip up the drama by contriving tension between the co-workers. It also does not create a false sense of tension by constantly working against the clock. Instead, this show focuses on high-stakes bartering, and awesome classic cars before, during, and after. I really enjoy seeing the nuts-n-bolts of the rebuild as well as the before and after. Let's not forget the characters. You'll find something to love with all of these guys (and gals). If, like me, you find you need occasions to turn off the critical thinking and just indulge a good reality show, then this is the one for you. You don't even have to come into it with a love for classic cars. My wife had no such passion, but is angry with me if I watch an episode without her. Now I catch her eying classic cars on the road!

If You Simply Appreciate the Glory of American Hot Rods...

Fast N' Loud doesn't try to get too creative, and the whole concept of buying a project car and restoring it or flipping is a dream/passion of many people. You won't find a ton of love for foreign cars here, an occasional one here and there...mostly it's all about American cars of the past. One thing I've come to appreciate is that almost everyone in the Gas Monkey Garage has a little bit to offer in terms of a TV personality, which is probably a first for Discovery since Mythbusters. Sure, they've had other successful shows, but there's always someone there that just doesn't have a sense of flair or humor that will appeal to a TV audience. Everyone on FNL always has something at some given moment to offer to the camera, and that's what makes the show enjoyable...in fact I believe the show now is more driven by everyone who isn't named Richard Rawlings. I realize he's the owner and he's always going to be around...but honestly I don't watch for him. He hires decent and interesting people, and that's what makes the show. If you like cars and a little bit of insight into life in Dallas, there's nothing wrong with Fast N' Loud.

A new favorite show

I took my family to New York City during Christmas and a stomach bug ripped through our family. When it was my day to alternate between the bed and bathroom, I turned on Discovery and watched a Fast N' Loud marathon. I'm not a car guy. When my wife sees me grab tools, she dials 911. What intrigues me about this show is the problem solving, especially by Aaron Kaufman. When I got home, I still had a week of vacation left and I binge watched the first four seasons.

My husband and I love to watch this

My husband and I love to watch this. There is no drama among the staff which makes for a pleasant watch. They are funny and quirky but are very knowledgeable in their industry. We are not car people but we love the show because the cast are so fun and lighthearted....We love to watch how the cars turn out ...they are always great!! Thanks...

Started with the most recent seasons and liked them so much we're watching the old ones now. Makes me want to start flipping cars like I did when I was younger.

Great show! Richard & Aaron are an incredible team

Great show! Richard & Aaron are an incredible team. Both funny and informative. The Ferrari F40 build was an amazing gamble with high stakes that paid off! I give this show 5 stars for one reason above all else: when Richard sells an early 50's Chevy to a fifteen year old (as his first car) he says afterwards that he hopes that all young people should get off of the couch, put the video games and the computers away and get out in the garage and build something. Great advice! A must watch.
