Scott B. Williams has been writing about his travels and adventures for more than thirty years. His published work includes hundreds of print and online magazine articles and more than two dozen books. His interest in trekking, sea kayaking and sailing small boats to remote places led him to pursue the wilderness survival skills that he has written about extensively in both his fiction and nonfiction works. 

A solo sea kayaking odyssey of nearly two years, undertaken at age 25, set Scott on his path to becoming a storyteller when he authored the account of that adventure in his 2005 travel narrative: On Island Time: Kayaking the Caribbean. That journey and countless others that took him far off the grid for extended periods gave him the inspiration to delve into his passion for fiction and to write action and adventure tales like the ones that shaped his own desire to travel and explore. 

With the release of his first novel, The Pulse, in 2012, and the subsequent sequels to it that became a popular post-apocalyptic series, Scott moved into writing fiction full time. Later and ongoing projects include the Darkness After series, the Feral Nation series, and the In Times to Come series with more works currently in development. Very amateurish. Liked the overall plot and characters, but the narrative is soo drawn out and meaningless, it gets boring. The main character is way overrated, keeps making stupid mistakes that gets him into more double. Do we really need to know the meaning behind every decision and the reasons for that decision and the why of every decision and why not other decisions and what could have or may have happened if other decisions were made and the possible consequences of those decisions and why they were not made, and on and on and on. Do we really need to know the make, model, caliber of everything,really "dude" is that "Bad Ass" or what. The language seems to be aimed at grade school or early high school "want to be" bad asses. Very disappointing. I keep reading hoping it gets better, but nope, same crap every book. Well I can put them all in a box and use it for a door stop.

The opening pages were totally confusing with loads of names being thrown about with descriptions of this happening and that happening. Long paragraphs. I gave up after about 12 pages; couldn't understand what was going on. Not like other P-A stories.

Incredible character and story line development.
The series is 1st rate entertainment.
A little over the top of at times .
However the events depicted could be in our future.
