I write in a variety of genres when it comes to fiction. My short fiction ranges from mainstream to fantasy/science fiction and several things in between! My novels are mostly inspirational fiction, except for a fantasy series I'm working on with the talented Azure Avians.
In addition to my fiction writing, my column "Laura's Look" appears weekly in the News Sun (Highlands County). In it I talk about all kinds of things, from news of the day to my family.
Look around, check things out. Hopefully you'll find something you like!
Bonnie Elizabeth could never decide what to do, so she wrote stories about amazing things and sometimes she even finished them.
While rejection stung her so badly in person, she spent most of her young life talking to cats and dogs rather than people, she was unusually resilient when it came to rejections on her writing, racking up a good number of them.
Floating through a variety of jobs, including veterinary receptionist, cemetery administrator, and finally acupuncturist, she continued to write stories.
When the internet came along (yes, she’s old), she started blogging as her cat, because we all know cats don’t notice rejection. Then she started publishing.
Bonnie writes in a variety of genres. Her popular Whisper series is contemporary fantasy and her Teenage Fairy Godmother series is written for teens. She has published in a number of anthologies and is working on expanding her writing repertoire.
She lives with her husband (who talks less than she does) and her three cats, who always talk back.
You can find out more about her books at her website, www.bonnieelizabeth.com
Angela Penrose lives in Seattle with her husband, five computers, and some unknown number of books, which occupy most of the house. She writes in several genres, but F&SF is her first love. She majored in history at college, but racked up hundreds of units taking whatever classes sounded interesting. This delayed graduation to a ridiculous degree, but (along with obsessive reading) gave her a broad store of weirdly diverse information that comes in wonderfully handy to a writer.
Felicia Fredlund writes in multiple genres and for both adults and young adults. Her quest is to entertain, offering her readers exciting adventures and emotional rollercoasters.
She also edits anthologies.
Her own first adventures happened through video games and later she added on computer games as well as board and card games. She studied game design and game programming, but switched over to more conventional computer science. Learning is one of her passions.
Felicia currently has two series running: a high fantasy series called Sorceress Islands and a YA science fantasy series called Shadow Courier. She has several short stories published and more are coming. She’s also working on more series as well as more volumes in her current series.
She edited Fiction River: Last Stand with Dean Wesley Smith and her story “Magic and Sacrifice” appeared in that volume. She has since appeared in several more Fiction River volumes.
Lee Allred's science fiction has appeared in the pages of ASIMOV'S SCIENCE FICTION MAGAZINE, PULPHOUSE MAGAZINE, and several dozen fiction anthologies. He's also scripted comic books for Marvel, DC, IDW, and Image, including such fan favorite titles as FANTASTIC FOUR, FF, BATMAN BLACK AND WHITE, BATMAN '66, BUG! THE ADVENTURES OF FORAGER, and DICK TRACY: DEAD OR ALIVE.
M.E. Owen writes science fiction, fantasy and crime, often in the same story.
She lives on the wet side of Washington state, and when not writing, plays with honking big transportation geodatabases, occasionally kayaks and more occasionally throws knives (not all at once, but that would be cool).
M.E., being the first granddaughter on both sides of the family, got named after a long line of women who hated their names. Kiddies, don’t do that to your kiddies. This is why M.E. also goes by Lisa.
Her short work has appeared in Abyss & Apex, Fireside Fiction, Fiction River, Flash Fiction Online, and elsewhere. You can keep up with her at www.MEOwen.com.
