FIERCE - JONAH is a standalone read with a happy ending. There are sexy scenes and colorful language is that is an issue for you. This is another love story in the matchmaking series. Some of the families are in this story as side characters. You will not feel lost if this is your first read. The story is about a couple with just references to past events. Again, you won't be lost.
To the author - I LOVED THIS COVER. I had this guy in my head through the whole book. REALLY helped me see the character. Great choice. The model was perfect for this character.
Megan, 29 is an accountant, single and works for the Fierce company. She is a free spirit and has a very open lifestyle. She is not afraid to go after something she wants. She is a bit of a rebel because she was the youngest of 3 daughters. The other two are 10 and 12 years older than her. She is constantly being compared to the older girls. I'm sure the parents thought they were wanting safe choices for her never realizing that she was taking it as criticism and a put down because she colored outside the lines. She meets Jonah at a family wedding and she is instantly smitten. He seems like the kind of guy she always goes for and turns her parents off but that is until they really know him.
Jonah is a gorgeous example of manhood. He owns a gym, works out himself, is a personal trainer and trains MMA fighters. He looks meaner than he really is. I believe he is something of an introvert personality. He doesn't like crowds, ties, suits, and small talk. Most people don't know of his fight that landed him with a head injury. He doesn't like to talk about the one big mistake of his life. He just wants to move on.
He meets Megan at his sister's wedding. He is attracted to her but she is a little forward and he really doesn't trust women that much. His gym is in the new stage and he devotes all of his time to making it the gym of choice in the city. He just doesn't know that what Megan sets her sights on she gets. And he is what she wants. She has a great body, and sense of humor.
This is one of the best in this series. I loved this story and mainly because of the hero. He is more my kind of guy so I relate to him more than the businessman in the suit and tie. It is fun, anxious in places, very lifelike in other places. These two main characters are a bit above the norm. They have flaws and good points, so very human characters. The parents are the same. They have their issues and most of the time have no idea they are planting negative thoughts in their children's heads!! I enjoyed this story and I definitely recommend it.
