I've read several of the books in this series and they seem to be getting worse. Was such a struggle to finish this one. It's very hard to keep readers interested in a series and this book suffered from the same old story, punctuated by the ,I'll stand between you and any threat' drivel that is characteristic of this series. Last one for me

This was a rollercoaster ride! OMG who is out to kill Kat. Who do you trust or not trust? But Kat knows for certain that she can trust Rick. We get to meet new characters and boy are they interesting. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

The story starts with Kat needing protection so she can testify; well she comes across and really a pain but it didn’t take Rick long to see through her. Kat really was funny and it brought out the best in Rick. Cynthia kept me guessing until the end and by the way Ghost leaves me anxious to read his book - really loved his banter.

Fighting For Her is the 5th book in the Wilde Ways series. It's a stand alone Romantic Suspense that is packed full of action, danger, suspense and a whole lot of heat. This book has no cliff hangers, no cheating and a HEA. Each book in this series gets better and better! The sass on the female MC is terrific.

Rick Williams is an agent with Wilde Securities, he's big, beastly and can kick butt and take names. His coworkers know he is rock solid and goes by the book, no breaking the rules for him. Rick is tasked with protecting a mob princess and he thinks the job will be easy.

Kathleen O’Shaughnessy is the daughter of an infamous mob boss. Her father locked her away from everyone but his bodyguards so Kat didn't have it easy growning up but she sure gained some hidden talents that will come in handy when forced to use them. Now that her father is dead, she has a price on her head along with her father's enemies hunting her down.

The government wants Kat as a witness to take down her father’s organization then she will go into witness protection. But Kat has to stay alive and the guys in suits have already failed her once. So, Wilde Securities and Rick have taken over the case. One look at Kat, and his first agenda is to keep his hands off of her.

Rick has 7 days to keep her alive and get her to the trial. It should be an easy job, but her mouth and body is more than he can take. They go on the run when she is tracked and shot at. Rick soon finds out that the "princess" has some hidden talents that surprises him. Kat is wrecking his heart and his battle is now more than just a job. He will do what it takes to win her heart and bring her in alive and well.
