I've read quite a few Kendall Ryan books & hope to eventually have her entire collection. I bought the 4 book series staring the Drake Brothers. Filthy Beautiful Lust is by far my favorite from the other books shes written, so far. There is something so real about it and not just a fantasy read (although I thoroughly enjoy all of her other books as well). It reminds me so much of meeting my, now, fiancé. After my husband unexpectedly passed, leaving me a 26 year old single mother of 3, I too pushed and pushed my fiancé away. Guarded and afraid to let my kids get involved. He was a single father of 2, as well. We are now soon to be married as a family of 7 and this read just made me reflect back on my own relationship. I love this book & highly recommend it to any and all readers.

While I have mixed emotions about this book I am still giving it a 4 star review bc it was a good story.

I loved Kylie and Pace, I loved how Kylie made Pace take a deeper look at everything. Their chemistry was hot, not as hot as Soph and Colt but still hot.

Kylie is a fierce single mom with a wounded heart, while Pace seems to good to be true. I love that besides this she decides to slowly open herself up to him.

However, what didn’t fit for me was that Kylie seems like this strong confident woman but as soon as her A-hole ex blinks an eye at her she contemplates tossing Pace aside. That didn’t make sense to me bc throughout the book Kylie keeps saying that she wants a man who puts Max first, that’s exactly what Pace does and shows her yet she’s willing to drop him bc the “sperm donor” realizes that he messed up...2 years later?!? That really ruffled my feathers as a reader, and while I understand from a writers point of view she was trying to create a conflict for the story it just didn’t make sense to me. (Side-note: I do believe this author really enjoys the love triangle angle all the books in this series have that as the major conflict).

Now I’m not saying that Pace is a saint we know from the first two books in this series that he is scandalous. There’s also two scenes where he is hooking up with someone right before or after he crosses pass with the woman who has been on his brain (they aren’t together yet) so he does act a little childish bc Kylie initially rejects him.

All the scenes with Max are adorable and I loved the winery scene that was probably my favorite part. So all in all while the heroine’s choices made me want to throw my device at the wall this book is worth a read. 😊

Filthy Beautiful Lust is a continuation of Kendall Ryan's Filthy Beautiful Lies series. Though it tells a a complete story on it's own, it also continues the storyline from the first two books. In this story, you get to meet Pace Drake in further depth. In the first two books, Pace is known as Colton's playboy younger brother. He is known to live up to that life style, a different day, a different girl.

In book two of this series, you see a more nurturing side of Pace when he helps Drake and Sophie go through some of their trials and tribulations as well as when he first meets Kylie Sloan and her son Max. Pace makes no apologies for the lifestyle he has led, but something about Kylie makes him want more than his weekend hook-ups. It could be she's the first to turn him down, but it might be more. Pace is determined to find out.

Kylie Sloan's faith in men has been diminished to nothing. Her last boyfriend left as soon as he found out she was pregnant with his son and wanted nothing to do with her. She is a devoted single mother and won't let anyone play with her or her son Max's hearts. She has heard all about Pace's past, and wants nothing to do with his playboy lifestyle. When Pace sets her and Max in his sights, to say she is extremely hesitant is putting it lightly. Will she be able to open up and take a risk on what might be on what might be the best thing to ever happen to her?

This book is filled with strong believable characters. I connected to them from page one. I laughed, cried and even wanted to yell at them at times. Kendall Ryan did an amazing job of writing this fabulous story line. Out of the three books I have read in this series so far, this one amazingly topped it all! I can't wait to read more!

I adored this fantastic book by Kendall about Colt's PA for his Charity Work, Kylie and his youonger brother Pace.
Pace see's Kylie again 1st time since Colt's and Sophie's engagement party, & he likes her even though he took a bimbo to the event (though hr ignores her) to chat and flirt with Kylie. He does try and try but she's not into a 'playboy'.
Add he's told her to ring him if she needs his help which she does sooner than she ever thought she would ever when she breaks her arm, then went to stay with him for a couple of nights until ALL Of a Sudden Elan, Max's Biological Father rings and says wants them, which totally confuses her, which makes Pace realise his deep feelings for them and what he wants, she breaks his heart when she tells him she had to see and give Elan a chance, had she made a mistake.....

Whilst each of these books can be read as standalones, who can resist finding out how each brother's lives pan out after getting enticing glimpses of them in previous books. Loved both brothers stories so far & have already pre-ordered Filthy, beautiful forever, just gutted that I have to wait until January !!!! Don't hesitate to buy these books, Kendall Ryan is a fantastic writer & story teller & I just know I'm gong to suffer withdrawal after the last of the Drake brothers stories ends !!!

Loved the story, no problem there, but the actual books were very short. The lines of printing were a lot farther apart than usual, and the margins of the pages wider, and the books thinner. I felt that these books were expensive compared with others half the price and at least twice as long. But great story, still probably worth buying.
