satisfyingly exciting conclusion to the series

This is Book 4 in the series. It builds on the universe and characters in the previous books, which should definitely be read first. There is a lot of fill-in for the episodes in previous books, so this could be stand-alone, but the full impact of the previous books will give much greater appreciation and enjoyment of this book.
Book 4 picks up immediately after Penny Briggs awakens in an unfamiliar bed from the knock-out spell cast by her evil bio-grandmother, Virginia. She is a captive, powerless to escape. She is introduced to her sister, Destiny, who is dying of cancer and tells Penny who her father is, and teaches her new skills. Virginia thinks by sacrificing Penny, Belial will cure Destiny and as a payment, he'll be set free from Hell. Penny, Destiny, and the team plan to scotch that plan by completing the ‘circle of iron’. It was an epic battle, and was almost lost several times, but courage and staunch comrades won the day. With the expected HEA ending, this concludes Penny and Isaac’s adventures.

Thoroughly enjoyed this installment in the Unexpected Magic series. The romance between Penny and Isaac continues to progress. Their support of each other is awesome. The group of friends they gather to defeat evil are also great. The “bio-grandmother” is truly evil and makes this reader glad she is only on the pages of a novel. How Christine Pope comes up with such an evil character is truly frightening. I also am impressed with Isaac’s back story regarding his disability and how it fits so well into this book.
I am sorry to see this series ending. I can see where Penny’s newly found sister could continue on with the series….just a nudge from a fan.

As the story continues in Christine Pope’s “Finding Destiny”, we have Penny in the abducted arms of her bio-grandmother Virginia Powers. A woman who for years dealt in black magic and was romantically involved with a prince of Hell. But the surprise was not yet over when Penny finds a biological sister residing with their bio-grandmother. Virginia’s plan is not well received by Penny and her significant other, Issac Zamora. The plot takes us through Penny’s battle with emotions, releasing her magic and finding confidence in herself to do what she has to and deter her bio-grandmother’s evil plan. There’s never a dull moment and it is definitely a must read. Sorry to see this series end but I recommended it highly.

This has been an incredible series that has had me hooked from book one as we met Penny who had no idea she was a witch let alone a witch with demon blood. It’s been a thrilling journey and in this final book we find Penny has been kidnapped by her own evil grandmother. It’s fast paced and totally full of shocks and surprises and grandma is so bad and wants to sacrifice Penny for her own nefarious plans. Of course this cannot happen as the prince of hell would be let loose so along with Isaac and her sister Destiny, Penny must fight an epic battle to save the day. This was gripping, exciting and full of twists and turns I did not see coming but the author has done an incredible job with this finale and gives us an ending worthy of this incredible and magical series.

I have read all of the books in the series and I am so disappointed that it’s ending because I actually look forward to the stories. I’m very happy with the ending I’m sad that I won’t be able to read about the wedding, but I did enjoy reading this book and all of this the other books before that and it was exciting is different now I just have to look for something new that could pique my interest just like this book did
