From the Author
Celia Burrows thought she had it all--a handsome husband, two successful children, and a gorgeous beach house on the Northern coast of Maine. But her perfect life cracks apart when her husband of thirty years informs her that he's leaving. In a note. And since problems come in threes, her adult children reveal they've both been struggling with issues of their own.
Before the separation, Celia was the main caretaker for her elderly father, but as her sisters step up to help in the wake of her troubles, neither of them takes to the role. Being tethered in Bluebird Bay is a nightmare for Anna, the youngest, whose passion for travel photography has taken her around the world. And Stephanie has struggled ever since her husband died in a freak boating accident a couple of years ago.
As Celia begins to come to terms with her own shocking loss, she's surprised to feel a giddy sense of freedom. For thirty years, she's buried her own dreams in support of her husband's vision. But that was the past. It's time to pick herself up, dust herself off, and create a better, more fulfilling tomorrow. Now, if only she can convince the people she loves to do the same...

While this can be read as a standalone, it definitely had a greater impact after reading f the first book in this "series."
Once again, the characters are so well developed and realistic. One could easily see themselves as each one of them quite easily. The storyline was wonderful. While this was to be mainly Annie's story, it also focused on the dynamic of the Sullivan sisters and their relationship, as well. It continued to bring depth to the previous storyline, but added so much more. How they all faces challenges and their ever changing lives is interesting. This is a novel where you tell yourself you will read just one more chapter and soon the novel is read all the way through. Another fantastic read by these two tremendous authors.
This new series is great. I can just picture the cute little town where they all live. When one of the sisters walks through the door to the house, I feel like my own door is opening. It's comfortable and warm. I've already pre-ordered the next book in this series and I can't wait to get my family back.
I prefer books with some more sizzle and a good butt kicking from the female leads and would love to see some women in their 40’s and 50’s doing just that and showing the world life isn’t slowing them down.
This series is nice... Showing how family is important and even though every character has drama going on, the family has each other’s back. It’s just not for me.

What I love the most of this book is that though it was focused on Anna's story, we got to see Cee-cee and Stephanie's stories continuations as well as Max's. We got some serious glimpses on other characters too which explained lots of things from previous book.
I enjoyed every moment of this book with so many amazing relatable characters and real life complications which most of us are facing or some of our families are. I highly recommend to read this series, it's so good! You just can't put it down! So excited for Stephanies story unfold!
