This book had me hooked from the very beginning. So many questions and so many theories were had! I was able to read this along side a book buddy and we discussed our thoughts on these characters (new and old!) and how they were going to play into the overall book. Not just the mystery but the slight romance that this book gives was more than enough to keep me hooked!
These women are well rounded women, they have great heads on their shoulders that think just like you and me. No angst or frustration of characters not thinking things the whole way through. So many questions had arose from the beginning that made you wonder where this book was headed and how it would end. Of course it ended on a happy ending, but the trip getting there... whew! My heart was pounding and I couldn’t stop reading.
The bond that Cee-Cee, Anna, and Stephanie have are truly amazing. To have that kind of relationship is what everyone should strive to have with their siblings.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading for others’ points of view. While this is mainly Stephanie’s book, we get a glimpse as to what the other sisters and Stephanie’s niece Max are thinking. I feel like I get so much more of a story this way!
I feel the book ended on what could possibly grow into another book, maybe with Max’s story but all loose ends were also tied up too in regards to Steph.
I highly recommend this series, especially to those women who are middle-aged... I feel that it would be easily relatable. But don’t let that stop you, reader, if you are not of that age bracket, because you will love the story nonetheless. So what are you waiting for? Go grab this last book of the Bluebird Bay series! Your heart will thank you!
Stephanie has been floundering since the tragic and untimely death of her husband Paul. She has also been questioning a lot about their relationship and who he was as a person after finding some random signs around the house and hearing some things from others. Anna and Cee-Cee, her sisters, are in a quandary as they just can’t imagine Paul would ever cheat, yet have questions about some things, as well.
To try and settle her mind, Stephanie sets out to find the truth, for herself and to at last feel as if she can move forward. Along the one she learns many things about herself, as well as the importance of family, love, moving forward and what it truly means to find peace.
As with the previous novels, all of the characters are so well defined and written true to who they are. They become honest and real people you cheer and vote for and commiserate and are saddened with. Despite all being so very different, as sisters they are a defined and strong unit that are always there for one another.
This storyline went slightly different than I expected, which just made the novel all the more engaging and one I didn’t want to put down. It is rich in the descriptions and warm and inviting no matter the situation the character(s) is/are facing.
Another true gem in this series. Though not as yet planned to have another title in this series, many followers are hoping that one will follow soon as there are still so many storylines to follow in regard to the sisters, but also their children/nieces and nephews.
After losing the love of her life to a boating accident, Stephanie finds herself stuck in the past, but it’s time to move on. As she clears out Paul’s things, she finds a note that leaves her with questions. Was everything she believed about her decades of marriage a lie? She needs answers and fast! So with the help of family and her new hot detective friend, Steph begins her quest to solve the questions she had surround Paul’s death and the mysterious blond he was seen with that morning. The answers she finds send her into a spin and could possibly cost more than she’s willing to give.

Love these amazing characters! The bound and relationship between all three sisters is beyond fantastic! Cee-cee, Anna and Steph makes you want the same for you in your family. I felt them like my own sisters. I thoroughly enjoyed how we continue to see all of them in action and getting glimpses of their struggles and achievements though this book was focused on Stephanie's journey finding the answers to be able move on with her life. No lose ends left after finishing this book but there's a great potential for something more about the kids's stories. One can dream, right? I'd really love to find more to this series later.
You should pick this book and entire series to fall in love with it and find all these answers I mentioned and more!
This is a lovely series of books following three sisters, while each book focuses mainly on one sister (in this case Stephanie) it also follows the stories of the others at the same time and their children and respective partners.
It’s refreshing to read about older characters, in their 40’s, each of them strong women in different stages of life, finding their own adventures and love. While I assume this is the last in the series it would be lovely to hear more of Max’s story, though she is much younger and at a different phase of life.
This series is light and easy to read, perfect for the beach.
Final book in a series of 3 - read them in order as it's a story that follows on in each book. Love it, gasped more than once!
