By day 3 (about chapter 3), Son was sold. It took a couple more chapters for Husband to get invested. Tonight, they finished the book. They both enjoyed it. Son hopes that there is a Fins 2 and special requested I keep my eyes out.
Our son is an “on level” reader. Just finished second grade, capable of reading at a 4th grade level, but more comfortable with books around a third grade level. He would not have been able to read this book on his own. He would have struggled with sounding out enough words in the first few chapters that he would not have wanted to continue. When I found out about this book, I knew this was not a read alone book for us.
It’s hard to find books for my 8 year old son and my husband. This book managed to catch the attention of both of them.
