About the authors
Phoenix Publishing is a sister company of Phoenix Book Promo and it is managed and run by USA Today bestselling author Lizzie James. Here is where you will find all anthologies and book series collections that are hosted by Phoenix
Eleanor Lloyd-Jones is and always has been a perpetual daydreamer. A mum of one and a full-time primary school teacher, she spins plates and chases her tail in order that she can live out the dream she has had since being a little girl: to write stories.
Like lots of indie authors, her ambition is to hit the big time, make all the lists and have some hot-shot movie producer pick up one of her books and turn it into the next blockbuster so she can write for a living. Until that happens, she is content to type away, bringing her imagination to life in the hopes that the people who read her words get some sort of enjoyment out of them and love her characters as much as she does.

When Julian agrees to be a photographer for Annie s wedding, he doesn't know she s the woman he can't stop thinking about. And when he realized that she s not happy, he encourages her to follow her heart.
Their friendship grows into a wonderful love story but believe me there are many obstacles along the way, which make this novel angsty and emotional just the way I like it.
The characters feel so real, great secondary characters to love (Sonny i can't stop thinking about you) and hate ( yes hate, a certain mother in law).
My heart missed a beat when hard decisions were made, the consequences almost destroyed everything.
Jones does a wonderful job in making us feel what the characters are feeling, the prose and the dialogue never corny or surreal.
I couldn't stop reading, everyday life was getting in the way, I wanted to see what would happen in the end after reading a major turning point in the plot. Be ready to cry with this one.
Five firefly shining stars, the ending is with a bang. I'm writing this with heart-shaped eyes

Firefly is like nothing I’ve ever read before. With a storyline of twists, turns and heartbreak it is sure to hit you right in the feels. From the moment I started reading, I couldn’t put it down and found myself thinking about these characters throughout daily life. I wanted to get back to them. I needed to know more.
Annie Dubois is a whirlwind of beauty, sass and attitude, and I fell in love with this tiny dancer from the second she pirouetted onto the page. She brings so much energy to the story yet has also had this innocence about her that is just endearing.
Julian Rossi is an Italian man who wears his heart on his sleeve, and my god his heart is pure. The love he has for his family and his little brother Sonny is unconditional. However, he’s also a man with a few personal struggles and at times I wanted to reach into the pages and hug him hard and not let go.
Sparks instantly fly with these two and what comes after is just magical. Their love for each other runs soul-deep and the sacrifices that are made along the way literally took my breath away.
In short, this story is full of love, angst, emotion and so much more. Not only did Lloyd-Jones paint the pages with exquisite words, but she also told a powerful story with such elegance and grace that it blow my mind.
Without a doubt, one of my top reads for 2022!

Firefly is a stunningly beautiful love story that quite literally took my breath away in places. Annie and Julian’s story flows so effortlessly from the pages and into your heart that you could be forgiven for believing it was really happening in front of you. The writing is typical of Lloyd-Jones’ work: smooth and epically readable, with a sparkle of that magic she seems to be able to conjure up each and every time she puts pen to paper.
I have a massive girl crush on feisty ballerina, Annie Dubois. She is an absolute ray of sunshine who will pirouette her way into even the hardest of hearts. The dialogue between her and Julian was an absolute highlight in this book. I loved their banter and the way she forced him-the quiet, thoughtful photographer-to laugh at himself. Their relationship is perfectly written, evolving at every turn and making you feel as though you’ve known them forever. You root for them against all the odds, even when her interfering excuse for a mother tries so hard to ruin things for them.
But let’s all be honest here, the real star of this story is Sonny. I never thought I’d want to read more about a five-year-old but here I am. He is so adorable and engaging with his love of all things Harry Potter that I found myself wanting him for a little brother just so we could hang out!
In short, I loved this book. It has everything I love: fun characters, drama, angst, characters you love, characters you love to hate, all the UST you can handle, ugly cry moments that made me send hate mail to the author, and an ending that gave me the most epically satisfied feels!
Five huge shiny stars! Highly recommend!

I’ve previously read Too Good Girl by this author, which was a gritty raw read, and thought it was so beautifully written - I fully expected to fall so deep in love with this story, because of Eleanors words alone.
The characters are real, their backgrounds authentic and their personalities flow effortlessly off the page. The emotion at certain points made my heart ache, and when it wasn’t aching, it was rooting for Julian, Annie and Sonny.
I’d absolutely re-read this book because I believe each time I’d pick something out I’d missed, something so beautifully intertwined within the story. I recommend you all to read this. It’s a stand alone novel in a 12 book series, each one by a different author and focusing on a different star sign. Pick up this book, you will not regret it.
