My first Preacher novel and I’m a fan. Kind of irritating when you see an obvious misspelled or incorrect word as many have noted before. Why in the hell can’t you idiot publishers hire someone to proofread these electronic files? Takes away from the whole experience but with that said I really enjoyed this story. It’s meant for entertainment and escape, especially from the depressing reality of the season of COVID.

Preacher is the kind of Mountain Man most of us would like to read about. Tough as nails, honest as the day is long and does the right thing when called upon. I like the authors style of writing and look forward to reading more of his books. I have purchased several more Kindle versions just waiting to go when time allows.

If you like these kind of stories then jump right in. I read this book in two days. It was nice to read without interruption making this more enjoyable.

It seems as though Preacher always knows the right things to do in response to insurmountable odds. Preacher certainly is elevated to the king of all mountain men! The banter and continuous insults with in the group of mountain men is humorous and unrelenting! A great tale but difficult to suspend disbelief with all of Preachers fearless and bold responses which never prove to be wrong. A reader soon begins to discard Preacher as a real person with fear, doubts, weaknesses, and faulty presumptions. However it is comforting to note that with Preacher evil rarely wins the day and the bad rotten "varmints" of the human race are extinguished!

I really liked book 1 and was excited to get book 2 until I found that book 2 was not on Kindle’s Unlimited, like book 1, and, therefore $1.99. Now I can easily afford the $1.99. After buying book 2, I find that book 3 is $3.99. This is classic “ Bait and Switch” by Amazon/Kindle. Again, I liked the books but can’t tolerate Amazon/Kindle’s pricing practices.
