From a Christian perspective, I believe, in part, it is how our reality has been created. God created by speaking the realities that he sought to bring to fruition; our universe, our planet, and all life on it were created by His thoughts, His might and will to proclaim it into being.
The Bible is the historical record of these miracles. However, Neville Goddard’s opposition to this fact is clear. He begins his emphatic opposition on the authenticity and authority of the Bible from the first chapter; “ let me state now that the Bible has no reference at all to any persons who ever existed or to any event that ever occurred on earth.” To Neville, the Bible is an allegory, stories that give support to the laws of attraction.
Please do not let this train of thought into your hearts and minds. There are many metaphysical teachers that acknowledge the Bible and often use scripture to validate or exemplify their teachings. Neville espouses that since we are from God, we are one with God and therefore, a part cannot be separated from the whole. From which he extrapolates that we therefore are God.
Again, my friends, do not fall into this trap. It IS NOT Biblically sound and we are warned in the Bible if this. “ See yo it that no one takes you captive through deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ”.
