Years ago I took a course called "Twelve Weeks With a Goddess: Bridget" from Thorn Coyle. My experiences meeting Bridget then were much like those of Tobias and Aiden, though not in such a dramatic context. I was not expecting to actually encounter her, but there she was. This story brought those experiences back in a lovely way and refreshed my relationship with Bridget. In fact, she did some anvil work on me this morning that completely changed my way of seeing a situation that had been bothering me for months. Major healing took place.
I have already started on the next one, and I have heard rumors volume 5 is on the way. These are wonderful stories, authentic magic, and the characters come alive on the pages. Don't miss these. She is writing from her own experience and it shines through with a special kind of authenticity.
I read this book all in one day over the course of several hours. I was spellbound, and could not stop reading. There is magic in the way that Thorn shapes her characters, new ones this time
emerge from the Witches in Portland. So many central issues of our times are covered within the framework of the magical coven, including interfaith community, homelessness, and persecution of people due to sexual preference, economic and race differences. A beautiful
portrait of the Goddess Brigid, whether known as Goddess or the Catholic Saint is dominant
within the expression of the key spiritual experiences in two main characters.
Thorn is a natural storyteller; this is a love story on so many levels. There is healing for the main characters in the story, and healing as well for the reader as the story’s energy ramps up slowly, intensifies and reaches its conclusion.
I can hardly wait for the next book.
T. Thorn Coyle weaves a captivating story of community, magic, and social justice with her usual authority. Highly recommended!
This one has St.Brigid and the Goddess Brigid as a focal point helping the city of Portland.
I don't want to spoil much. If you're looking for a witchy fantasy book focused on healing. You've come to the right place.
