Mega "Mission Accomplished" without needing a Mega Budget

Among their many gifts, Alex Kendrick and his brother have the unique ability to deliver spiritually truthful messages in drama format in a way that impactfully connects with everyday practical life and situations. Tens of millions are spent to produce a typical Hollywood movie that delivers cheap, unfruiful messages. The Kendricks spend a fraction, yet manage to deliver powerful and relevant messages with eternal value. I'm thankful for this first project, Flywheel. It speaks to family and career in ways that no other story does, and sheds True Light on these all important aspects of life. I also applaud how in the flow of this story, there's no hesitation to express God's Word, and the Name "Jesus".

This movie won't be available for free with Prime for a while yet, if at all. So the $2.99 rent is quite worth the money!

Absolutely great movie! 5 stars!

I absolutely am a Kendrick Brothers Fan! If you are a Christian you will love their movies also! I have started my Kendrick Brothers collection just as I did for Tyler Perry! This movie is their very first, and even thou as Alex mentioned in the movie he had a very small budget, but yet it didn't feel as such because it had such great meaning! Alex started out being an Auto car lot owner who was very dis-honest with the pricing and condition of his cars and how God changed his heart! Not to give to much away I would suggest that you buy this movie, and all of their movies including Face the Giants, Fireproof, Courageous, War room, and his new movie that hasn't come on the market as of yet(Overcomer)!

Ignore the critics and agree with the viewers on this one

Don't let the religious naysayers steer you away. The production quality is not going to win any awards (and is openly explained by the director as such), but the underlying message is uplifting and the movie is great for anyone searching for more meaning in their life. If you are a Christian, you will like this movie. If you are not a Christian, you may be skeptical of its message. Regardless, it is hard to argue that the underlying premise of good trumping evil is not a worthy storyline with a heartwarming result. And if you are willing to allow the possibility that God can do great things if you let him in your life, then you may have gotten something you never expected by watching this movie.

One to add to your Christian movie library for sure!
Verified purchase
Definitely one to add to your library and have the kids watch over and over. Strong messages about choices, how we treat others, and most importantly choosing to be honest in all we do. Keep in mind that this is the first movie done by the creators of Facing the Giants, Fireproof, Courageous, War Room. You can tell it's their first one because it is not as professionally done. However, just keep in mind when watching that this movie was created by a church not Hollywood. And ask yourself if your church could have done a better job. Not likely. Support the creators of movies like this. We need more Christians in the Christian movie industry.

Positive, Uplifting Entertainment

Another movie from Affirm Films - I enjoy all of them. Like the others, the Christian message is timeless and presented through the lives of normal, everyday people leading normal, everyday lives. Sometimes you laugh and sometimes you cry as you see these characters walk through life. The end leaves you feeling more positive about your faith, the people around you, and life in general.

There is nothing inappropriate or awkward - you can watch this movie with just about anyone without cringing.

Some of the cinematography and acting is less sophisticated, but it does not distract nor detract from the movie.

I paid to watch this movie - something I rarely do. I am glad to spend money on quality entertainment.

A good movie

A good movie addressing weak business morals. I am generally uncomfortable when everything just works out when the characters turn from sin, and everything miraculously works out in the next scene though. Life just doesn’t work like that; GOD just doesn’t work like that. We’re promised forgiveness, but often (perhaps always) our sin drags around heavy consequences.

But all and all, a good movie! And certainly encourages the business ethics, not of law but of grace, that I believe are missing almost across the board in 21st century America—-particularly in the Christian community.

An honest used car salesman!

Good movie with a positive christian message. I really liked the way the movie showed the difficulties faced by Jay in turning his life around. So many other movies of this genre show the change of heart, but don't describe how it can take time and sometimes a little faith is required to see the outcome. Jay was a dishonest person and had his priorities all screwed up, but he changed his ways and even gave back to the people he cheated. We need more people like this in the world! Overall good family entertainment.

The only complaint I have is the aspect ratio of the picture. Everything else I watch on Amazon fills the entire screen or is in the cinema type/widescreen ratio with the back bars on the top and bottom. This movie actually had a black box around the picture- making the picture much smaller than my computer screen. Not a big deal, but something that makes the movie a little less attractive. Still worth 5 stars for content and message.
