My only criticisms of this book are that there is not a lot of how-to, and that there is a random page about decorating doughnuts. This book assumes you will already know how to separate eggs, use a double boiler, and other technical kitchen skills, so don't expect it to walk you through these things. There is very little instruction outside of the steps for each recipe. That said, my young baker had no issues following the directions given. Regarding the doughnuts: I'm not sure why the double spread about decorating doughnuts was included, since there are no recipes for making doughnuts in this book! Ironically, the page was hugely inspiring to my kid, and that is the first thing he wanted to try, so we utilized a different book for a recipe for doughnuts.
Overall, this book was a great addition to our kid cookbooks. It is definitely kid-friendly, inspiring and covers a range of baking recipes.
Now not only can I make my own recipes,I can can have a real cookbook for help.and I love the
