About the author

J.B. McGee is a mother, wife, and the Amazon Top 100 author of the best selling This Series. Amazon Crossing acquired the German rights to her debut novel, Broken. Heartfall, her coming of age novel about a bullied ballerina, is a #1 best seller in the Teen and Young Adult Performing Arts genre. Skipping Stones, a military romance about a young woman strongly influenced by her faith and her family all the while searching for her true love, is a #1 best seller in Women's Christian Fiction.
When J.B.'s not writing, she enjoys reading as well as watching and live-chatting her favorite television shows with her friends.
Born and raised in Aiken, South Carolina, she attended Converse College and eventually earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education from The University of South Carolina-Aiken in 2006. In college, she was told by her children’s literature professor she would be the one student from her class to be an author. McGee shook her head and laughed.
In 2011, it was discovered that not only do both of her children, but also she and her husband, have mitochondrial disease. Affecting 1 in 2500 people, it has no cure or treatments. Being a writer allows J.B. to care for her family’s unique needs while also providing a platform for raising awareness for this disease.
She is a hopeless romantic who loves to escape into fairy tales—some she reads and some she creates.
J.B. McGee and her family now reside in Buford, Georgia.

You can tell right off the bat that JB McGee missed these characters as well. Her love for this family is evident throughout and she has remained true to each and every one of them as well. What I found so special from the very start with Broken and followed through to Forever is the flawless blend of sexy together with respect. Gabby and Bradley can't keep their hands off each other yet their continued exploration of their mutual wants and needs is presented so tenderly. But it's still wildly erotic in their own way and you can't help but swoon at the absolute devotion these two have for one another.
The story is juxtaposed right alongside that of Gabby's sister and her struggle to find her own HEA. She is torn between brothers Ryan and Joe and isn't sure where her heart will lead her. She has her own issues that need facing and her journey is beautifully told and fits perfectly with the newly-married life that her sister is now enjoying.
This was a well-written and substantial conclusion that I did not want to end truth be told. I've enjoyed every word of this series and appreciated how the author tied up loose ends without making it easy or over-the-top sweet and convenient.
It's a journey well worth your time. I didn't realize how much I have missed JB McGee's writing and am hopeful she is back for good.
A solid 5 stars with a recommendation you start at the beginning to get the entire story. You'll be very happy you did.
First, I understood why Joe felt guilty after Ryan's wreck, but I didn't understand his cold & ugly behavior towards Sam. Even with his emotional state, he had JUST been happy in bed with her so the 180 degree to being cruel didn't make sense. He would have been more likely to lean on her, his BFF, just as he did Bradley.
Second problem was Gabby. She is the one character that I've had a hard time connecting with. She's been pretty self absorbed & irrationally emotional the whole series. Lots of people have much worse childhood trauma (that they remember), lose a parent, & have their HS boyfriend cheat on them. Although heavy experiences, they do not emotionally stunt a person to the level of a toddler. Seriously, some of her reactions made me want to shake her & tell her, "grow the heck up!" Her selfishness reached a whole new level with basically forcing Sam into a relationship with Gabe. Am I the only reader who noticed this? Gabby showed no compassion for Sam's feelings at all. Since Sam actually remembers the incident with Gabe & protected gabby all those years, you would think shed show patience for Sam. But she didnt. At all. She selfishly wanted her perfect Christmas tradition, at all costs. So, by the end of the series I didn't care about her at all.
The other characters were great & the writing style was good. Just wish the female lead was more likeable.
My favorite part of this book is the characters morals. All to often, the main characters in the books we love to read are really not that good of people. Like in real life these characters aren't perfect but they are honorable. It was nice to read a book like this. Not to say it was like reading a children's book it is just saying the main characters could be thought of as truly good people. However, don't let that assessment taint your opinion. These characters were still hot, hot, hot!!!
On a side note, JB McGee has shared many aspects of her life on social media and it was fun to see some of her real life experiences in the pages of her book. It was like a scavenger hunt trying to find them!
If I were you, I would not only read this book but the whole series!
