Brenda Jackson, New York Times and USA Today Bestselling author of over 100 novels and novellas, was born in Jacksonville, Florida. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Jacksonville University. She married her high school sweetheart, Gerald, and they have two sons, Gerald Jr. and Brandon, ages forty-three and forty-one, respectively. She is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Her professional writing career began in 1995 with the release of her first book, Tonight and Forever. While watching over Margo from an assassin, Striker can't help but fall deeply in love with her. They hide out in a cabin that becomes a death trap because of the assassin. The story is exciting and kept me wanting more. The mystery and suspense along with the drama will surprise you. There are some steamy sexy moments you won't want to miss! A great read!!!

From the Grangers to the Protectors to the crazy – hold on because things get rocky. Lamar “Striker” Jennings hired to protect Margo Connelly who’s been targeted to kill for being a on a jury of a crazy man. Got it?

This brings us to the story of Striker and Margo. They were thrown together by danger but forced together by passion. Remember this!

Margo insist that she doesn’t need a protector (bodyguard) from the crazy man but soon finds out she not only needs protection from danger but from her desire for Striker sensual pull.

Striker never mixed business with pleasure by crossing the line with a client he was protecting however with Margo the line between professional and pleasure got really blurred whenever the two them touched or kissed. They were truly Forged in Desire – so much so that never of them wanted to let what they were feeling stop. Passion was surrounding them while danger was lurking in the background. Let’s just say things get heated, spicy and very pleasing that even danger couldn’t stop their pinned up desire - I am going to leave it there…. Everything in this story centered on fear, passion (good or bad) and the willingness to let go and unfortunately all roads lead to Margo. Now she’s asking please protect my life and my heart. Well, Striker is the man for the job. Protectors to the rescue!!

There are a lot of players in this “game” of the Protectors but it all falls together for a well-written story. This story have lots of drama, passion, fear, mystery, deep emotional entanglements and twisted relationships that all leads to Margo. This story reminds me of a scene out of C.S.I. TV series. Mrs. Jackson took on emotional topics that few can capture with such tenderness. It’s a wonderfully written story. Check it out!!!

Looking forward to reading the stories of the other Protectors – Quasar and Stonewall. I hope to see Roland story too – Mrs. J, please give him someone love too.

REVIEW:
This is the first installment of the Protector Series. Lamar “Striker” Jennings, with a name likes Striker I couldn’t wait until this book was release and he was all of that and then some. Margo Connelly was one of the jurors who life has been threatened. Striker was hired to protector her, but from the moment they met the attraction was there between them. Her uncle decided to hire a bodyguard of course against Margo wishes. They both have their defenses up and as they got to know each other on this journey they realize once they learn to trust each other the passion was unleashed.
I enjoyed this story and look forward to Quasar and Stonewall story. I recommend this book.

Loved the intense feel of love,the power that two people may feel without touching speaks volumes. Striker is a typical example of a male that has issues and has up such a barrier but Margo is able to see past that and show him her love.
All the pieces fit and then Dr Randi Fuller name popped up,I just love her mum and dads story,she will soon have her own with Qusarar,I can't wait !!!

Jackson used to be my favourite Kimani writer, but by this book does not read like any of her previous work. It was very hard to read, so much repetition. Sadly, it was so boring that I forced myself to read to the end but could not. I really hope this was written by a ghost writer under he name and that she starts writing the way she used to. Very disappointing.
