While traversing this thing called 'life', it is important to stay true to yourself and honor yourself...no one else can do it. That is , for me, the prime take away.
I consider myself a 'traveler', rather than a tourist. And reading Lisa's words just reinforced how often I wince when traveling with American tourists. Embrace where you are or stay home...the ugly American tourist is just that...ugly.
It was a pleasure to read of Lisa's embrace of culture, history, and tradition.
I raise my glass of Prosseco to you, Lisa...well done!
Mu husband. I read it before I left, during, and after my trip and it has been a perfect backdrop to my own adventure. I also immensely enjoyed staying in Florence and hope to return many more times. I'd also love to think that someday I can go on one of them Miss Condie's tours of Tuscany and Florence with my own girlfriends.
