Four Rooms

Don't miss the fun in this hilariously sexy comedy that has Antonio Banderas (Once Upon a Time in Mexico), Madonna (Swept Away), and a sizzling all-star cast checking in for laughs! It's Ted the Bellhop's (Tim Roth, Pulp Fiction) first night on the job...and the hotel's very unusual guests are about to place him in some outrageous predicaments.

A Quirky Movie you either Love or Hate
Verified purchase
It's a movie that people I've talked to either love or hate, no middle ground here. Personally, I love it. It's great. It kept me laughing all the way to the end. I won't go through the synopsis. After all, there are over 600 reviews on this film. If you're a Tarantino fan and you don't have this movie then stop reading and buy the blasted film! Tim Roth as the crazed bellhop was awesome; he was perfect for the role. There are a lot of great star cameos throughout the film. Personally, I felt the 1st story, The Missing Ingredient, was the weakest and the 2nd story, The Wrong Man, was the best. However, The Misbehaviors and The Man from Hollywood were good too. Overall, I would recommend this movie to those who like adult humor, Tarantino, and comedy and characters that are...a little off. 5 out of 5. A classic in my book.

The best segments are the Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino-helmed bits ...

There are two major caveats to viewing this film: it's wildly inconsistent and it's not for everyone.

The humor in this film is so dark, you could develop film in it. It's liberally laced with arsenic and the combination of four directors give each segment a different tone that never manages to be anything more than mildly entertaining.

Four Rooms employs an abundance of graphic imagery en route to being nothing more than moderately amusing. The best segments are the Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino-helmed bits which comprise the latter half of the film, though even then, there's little here that merits more than a single viewing.

If you're a fan of Rodriguez and/or Tarantino, there may be sufficient reason to sit through this film. If not, then the myriad star cameos -- Bruce Willis, Madonna, Marissa Tomei, Antonio Banderas -- and amusingly manic performance of Tim Roth as the hapless bellhop may be a sufficient draw as long as your expectations don't creep too high.

Dark comedy with a classic twist.

The comedic style utilized by Roth, in this movie will be lost on some people. It harkens back to a bygone era, while incorporating more modern aspects at the same time. Some people simply won't get it. Personally, I thought it was great, and very original. Every set piece felt like a story you might actually hear from a bell hop, working in Hollywood. In that way the movie manages to bring a sense of realism while also being stylistic in the theatrical sense. Very underrated imo.

Everything as advertised by seller

The disk was in pretty decent condition, and it works. Everything is as described and advertised by the seller. Only knocking off a star because it was used, but honestly that's not even totally the sellers fault. Also think it's hilarious how many reviewers think we're supposed to give an opinion on the movie, instead of describing the quality of the physical product

The new bellhops first night on the job goes terribly sideways and since he's the only one working
Verified purchase
This is a unique movie with 4 stories by 4 directors. The new bellhops first night on the job goes terribly sideways and since he's the only one working, has life changing experiences with much hilarity for the audience. The acting is over the top and exaggerated, which adds to the comedic antics depicted in each story. If you like off the wall and creative comedies, you'll like this movie.

This has to be the worst movie I've ever seen. The music was juvenile, the acting inane, and the "comedY' cringe-worthy. Tarintino should bury this film. I am angry with myself that I paid $3.99 to rent it, and will deny ever watching it if asked...
