it's okay

I love the fixer upper series, but the movie left me wondering who selected the cast for the movie. It was an okay movie but I suppose the fact that I had read all the books and probably had 'selected' in my mind who the characters resembled may have impacted my view of the actors playing the roles. I think the minute Jewel started singing I was lost as I did not remember Shannon being a singer. Jewel seemed to be a little to 'prim and proper' and not 'rugged enough' for the role. I will continue to read the series but probably will not watch another movie.

Distracting hair, good characters

I've watched this Hallmark show mainly because I like Colin Ferguson. I found Jewel's wig in the episode so distracting, I almost couldn't finish the movie. But I've gotten used to it, and I like the chemistry between the two. I didn't care for Jewel singing during the episode. I'd rather show's that hire singers keep the two careers separate. But I fast forwarded through that part. I look forward to watching more Fixer Upper Mysteries.

I don't know why they canceled this

I binge watched all 3 of the episodes in this series and really enjoyed them. I loved the characters and the stories a lot. I wish I had known about this show when it was on, but I guess one more fan wouldn't have made a difference to the fate of the show. I'm really sorry that they gave up on this one.

I hope there's another episode soon

I really like this series. As with most things 2020-related, no recent episodes have been released. I hope a new one will air early 2021.

Who likes a good mystery...

Love a good mystery. I watch all these Hallmark type mysteries like Garage Sale Mysteries and Murder She Baked. It would be nice is they came out with more like this. Still I am grateful for the ones out there. Great watch. Thank you. :)

If you like mysteries, then this is a good one. It almost threw me, but not quite, but then my brain according to my family works differently than most. I take that as a compliment (I think?!). The 2 others that watched it with me didn't figure it out until the very end. A good twist.
