AAA. I've been waiting for this movie for a solid MONTH; and I finally found it! It's really good and modern, plus the cast is just.. MWAH! Anyways, I recommend this movie if you need humor, a good scare and have a good tolerance on gore/dead bodies!
If you like campy horror, great slasher kills, and wackiness you're in the right spot. Waited for this movie for a while, was everything I could've hoped for. Watching Vince Vaughn be a teenage girl was just tremendous.
The movie was a huge disappointment. Almost all of the characters were so over the top. A pretty girl that is shy and nerdy just because she wears bad clothes. The horribly unfair teacher. The super mean popular girl. The gay best friend with his gayness turned up to 11. The super dumb and mean (not to mention rapey) jocks. And the one popular athlete that secretly loves the nerdy girl... It's like they took every highschool movie cliche and put them in this movie. Also, a psychotic killer with no impulse control that doesn't shower and lives in a weird murder den that isn't private at all, would never have lasted very long without getting caught. The small upside was Vince Vaughn's performance as a teenage girl trapped in his body and that there were some really unique deaths that I hadn't seen before. Overall, this movie isn't worth the rental.

Blumhouse is a good choice for a scare, laugh and a twisted ending. Pumping out lots of scary flicks on Amazon. Do not recommend this movie for tweens. Covid19 lockdown and a movie under twenty bucks, converted our cozy family room into an instant theatre. Rated R for raunchy (rauncom) and no nudity gives this flick an A+
This is a typical slasher movie with a twist. It was predictable and had all the usual pieces put into such a movie. But it was fun none the less. Funny and had me cheering for the characters. Vince again pit in a comical whimsy I enjoy from him.
The preview to this made it seem more on the lighter side, dark comedy. We turned it off within the first 5 minutes. Complete, disgusting gore right off the bat.

Would say 4.5, Opening & closing scene were hardcore... the middle was mostly a "fun adventire" type... bit middle did have a few hard-core kills too. Which rarely works in movies... typically, they would need to stick with one theme & stay with it, otherwise switching it up doesn't work. But this movie manages to pull it off with success. It's not fully horror, it's not fully crazy antics adventure... but its enough of each. The acting was fantastic. Both characters really felt like they were two different people accordingly. Vince Vaunge was incredible. To go from phonetic killer, to a high school girl - he nailed it. Supporting cast was great.
Two scenes sort of took me out if it just a smidge.. hence the half star. The dressing room scene, although heartfelt & i get what the writers were doing, ... and definitely the car scene... But loved the movie. Will probably watch it again tomorrow just for Vince acting alone.
