Comforting classic.

This film gets me everytime and my post-millennial daughter loves it too. I was a baby when this film came out. It uses some synth music which really goes with the ocean theme and I sort of miss this type of soundtrack music. Deep down inside it's all of our dreams to free the orcas long as all of us have a heart. It's in Seattle so everything is very beautiful. I prefer this movie over all the other Free Willies because it's more of a journey and less of a teen drama sequel. It raises a lot of good questions about Foster families and how children relate to the parents. I think showing the mother and child relationship between the orcas is important to show because it makes us realize how we affect them.

Loved this movie as kid. Loved this movie as an adult. The version we rented still included the 1-800 number at the end of the movie to call and learn more about Orca whales. We called...and got forwarded to their website. But now I have adult money to donate, so that was exciting. My husband's crush on Lori Petty was also reignited.

Uncertain this was not not a sale of a preowned bluray represented as new.

This was not a new item. Wrapper was a not manufacturer original. Cover looked suspiciously reproduced. No leaflets. Disk had small scratch. Disappointed. Will try to find elsewhere.

Free Willy and Reminisce Yourself

My four-year-old granddaughter liked the movie. I liked it too, but it was made a long time ago. Killer whales had a much more benevolent personality then when a trainer or two hadn't been killed by them. Sea World was still in full swing then. If you were a parent or a child in the seventies, this movie will be for you.

AWESOME movie!

My sister and I, ages 9 and 7, both agree that this tale of a killer whale is one of the best movies we've ever watched. The scene at the end, the whole jumping-over-the-wall part, that was amazing! The expression on the evil man's face, it was priceless! It was fun to watch the bond that grew between Jesse and Willy, and I can't think of ANY slightly bad part in this five-star movie. As a 9 year-old, I recommend this movie to kids aging 7 and up. This is also recommended greatly for adults.

A Hit but may not be for sensitive kids

What a wonderful family movie. My 9 yr. old daughter loves animals and this movie is a favorite of hers. Her favorite part is when Free Willy is let go to his real home. As much as I absolutely love this movie I have to think about my 11 yr. old that is very sensitive and does not like how Free Willy was caught in the beginning. I will never find him watching this movie, so this movie may not be for your sensitive child. It is still a wonderful family movie where no one has to worry about what's on the screen. Who can say that anymore?

It was a great movie then and it still holds up

I saw this as a kid when it first came out. It was a great movie then and it still holds up. It's so beautiful to see the relationship between keiko and jesse. I have also seen the documentaries about keiko being released back into the wild, I definitely recommend them. I have never been to seaworld and I hope people will realize that killer whales don't belong there.
