Frenetic: Arcane Mage Series, Book 4 Audible Audiobook – Unabridged
Being a Magical Engineer is easy. You know what’s not easy? Trying to help stop a coup against one of the Arcane families. Or fighting against a bloodthirsty rebellion.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, I’m kind of juggling five men who are too good looking for their own good, and who hate each other. The only thing they have in common: They want me.
Bast might be okay with the harem life, But what about the rest of them? Can I make this work, Or am I going to just fall flat on my face causing an even bigger mess? Yeah, welcome to my crazyville.
At least I have my magic back. Now I just need to hold on to the family I've created for myself and find the strength to deal with this Frenetic life. No pressure, right?
Frenetic is book four of the Arcane Mage series, a reverse-harem romance intended for adult audiences.

"Nice" is how she'd described this book's ending. Nice is what it was NOT. TS deserves no cookies. Withhold all the treats.
Char has her work cut out for her in this one and man is it a roller coaster ride. I loved almost every second. My husband simply laughed as I screamed at my Kindle.
Bast is MINE. Do not make me fight anyone for him because I will and I will play dirty.
I adore Gran. Always. Still waiting for links to properly decorate my house in her honor😉
Blaze.... boy. Figure it out!
Andres is scrumptious.
Logan is very alpha male in this one (as always) but I love it.
Theo. Meh. TS can keep him.
Blair is amazing. I hope she gets an off shoot.
Okay. Finally. TS Snow get over here and fix what you've done!!!!.
One of the bright spots of the Arcane Mage series has been the humor and overall lightness of the series and there's plenty of both once again. We also get more steam in this book but it's also balanced with more emotional connection. There's a nice amount of action and none of it is Charisma fighting so we have more of the guys doing what they do! It felt like there are more POV chapters from each of the guys, along with Char, so we have the full perspective of what everyone is thinking and experiencing. These are especially helpful since the guys are chasing down various leads while other things are happening. The time we get in Theo's head at the beginning made me feel a lot more sympathetic towards him too.
I'm both very excited for the next (and final) book and wanting to stay in this world longer. From what Ms. Snow has said, there will be future stories in the Arcane Mage world which has me eyeing a couple of characters in Frenetic, wondering about whether we'll get more of them down the road. I'm ready for Char's final showdown though and to see all of these characters get their HEA!
Frenetic was by far the most angsty book out of the series! It took me a lot longer to read cause I would get anxious and have to set my kindle down and walk away.
It's soooooo freaking good though! Don't let a little angst stop you from reading this masterpiece!
Char is probably in my top 5 favorite heroines. She's goofy and nerdy but a complete kick a-- at the same time. Who doesn't love when different characteristics get combined like that. Plus... Home girl has the hotties!!
This series is an absolute must read!
The FMC I loved her character development and how spunky and realistic she was. I feel like in RHs the FMC instantaneously falls in love and under the control of the men and this one didn’t. There were just way too many unnecessary details in all of the books (the ones I read) that I would just skip over paragraphs or even pages of this each book and I still knew what was going on because it just moved that slow.
I only made it so far in the series because I thought well maybe the next book will move a little faster and not have so many unnecessary details only to be let down in the next book.
I’m not even gonna bother finishing the series because it was more of a “I don’t have anything else to read because I’m waiting on other book releases so I guess I’ll read this” Instead of me being invested in the story and what’s gonna happen next. It just wasn’t as enjoyable as I thought it would be.
I love the humor in this book and the quirky fmc, but I have a hard time keeping myself focused when reading this and I think that is due to two things. The author uses multiple POVs but her transition timing is jarring. It pulls me out of the story repeatedly. For example, she will be taking us through a tense or important scene from one characters POV, and then before that scene concludes, she starts a new chapter with an entirely different scene happening, and a different character POV. Then a few chapters down you're back with the first scene and POV and you have to try and recall where you left off with them. It's like a bunch of mini cliffhangers throughout the book and it causes me to lose my interest. The story would flow a lot better if she finished a scene to its completion before introducing a new scene and POV.
Separate from that, Char (fmc) has a tendency to ramble, she even acknowledges that she does this. I think we are meant to find it cute or quirky but it is becoming a bit annoying and I just skim those parts.
In any case, when I'm in the mood for a fun, light read, I check to see if the next installment of this series has released because I can count on a dose of good humor and nothing too serious. Sometimes that's what you need!

5 stars - less than a day to read because I cannot put it down. I only give 5 stars if it has managed to engage extra emotions from me - extreme lol moments or real teary moments etc. A 5 stars book tends to have me raging about cliff hangers and (legally and not creepily) stalking the author for release dates.
4 stars - 2 days to read or less. A book that I have quite enjoyed reading, feisty MC and some racy scenes with thier romantic interest. I would definitely follow a series and author for 4 star books.
3 stars - takes around 2/3 days to read, usually because I have become distracted and less engaged in some sections but by the end the end I have enjoyed the overall story and would read any sequels.
1/2 stars not given, as I have usually returned it without finishing as I'm not engaged. .
A couple of things were cleared up in this book and moved forward, however so many questions have arisen.
This book moved the harem forward Char now has two boyfriends which lead to a fair bit of steam, we have one on the fence and two firmly on the sidelines right now. So looking forward to seeing where all these relationships go in the next book.
I am really looking forward to the next one from a storytelling perspective and hopefully learning more about the rebels and their agenda. Also hoping Char and Bast to some extent prove how amazing they are in the next book.
Bring on Book 5
I love Char, she Brave, Strong, smart clumsy, sweet and funny. Each of the guys brings something unique with Bast, Blaze and Andre being my favorites. Though i am slowley warming up to theo at last.
I cant wait for the next book, especially after that Cliffhanger!!
