Huge Disappointment
Verified purchase
This is my very first disappointment with Amazon Prime Video. Granted I didn't understand what a "short" was and expectation was for much more. Judi Dench was the attraction, her performance usually ensures good entertainment. But this five minutes was just plain stupid and made no sense. The clip could have easily been a set up for a funny movie, but fell far short of even that. Thank heavens it was only $2, but rest assured I will be much more careful and selective from now on.

Very Cute short.

This is a really great short. It's only 12 minutes long so you can watch it any time to lift your spirits and see some great performances.

Update: I've noticed a lot of people are rating it lower just because they didn't have the insight to check the description before purchasing. This is a SHORT film. It says so clearly in the description. It is not a full feature. It's an excellent short film and well worth 1.99 If you want to spend a longer time watching you can get the collection of shorts this is from. This is one of several films in the DVD "Stars in Shorts" which is a series of short flicks like this with different well known actors. That one is also available on Amazon Instant Video.

Computer Savy

Here we are the 70's set, learning to use the computer, IM, computer lingo, and coming of age. This is a sharp short film featuring Dame Judi Dench and Tom Huddleston.

Sig others dead or gone, widows and widowers are looking for companionship in the new age. Computer wise finely, starting to date, and waiting for responses just like kids. Getting back into the dating game is a difficult process, and then you add the new digital age. This short film takes us through it. Dane Dench is perfect as the woman waiting for a response. Does she make the first move, does she wait? What is the rule in this new era? She has flushed out the past history of the man she is interested in, and we surmise he has done the same. Not receiving the response she wanted quickly enough, she decides to call the man, but is that forward? She hangs up, and soon the phone rings.

Relationships in the digital age. So well done!

Although it features Judi Dench, this is so disappointing

Although it features Judi Dench, this movielette (at 13 mins only!) is sooo disappointing. It was like getting only 4 pages into a novel and its over, without any conclusion. C'mon, I actually PAID to see this based on Ms Dench being in it. Hmph.

Our mistake that we didn't notice how long the film ...

Our mistake that we didn't notice how long the film actually was. We noticed it was a short comedy. But 12 minutes for $2.99???? I don't think so. We both looked at each other and said "Is that it?"

Smartly written and surprising because, I think accurately, it is often thought that those chronologically older than the electric world of computers can simply not grasp the technology. This shows two smart women flipping terms about and lining their lives with computer assistance in a hilarious fashion, anxiously hoping the next beau is around the next text. The denouement is worth the thirteen minutes. Watching Judi Dench hit a keyboard and yell, "Come on!" is an impatience I completely identify with and is worth "the price of the ticket."

I thought I was getting a movie and what I got was a few minutes of not much! Watch the preview instead. It covers it all! Not worth the $$

Enjoy it each time we watch it.
Teenagers, senior citizens as well as the middle-aged in our family found this short endearing.
Very happy with the purchase.
