I'm not going to write about the plot (although this is a fabulous one). if you want that kind of review there are tons of others that do that. I'm going to talk about writing style, characters, etc.

Cynthia Eden (CE) wrote characters that are strikingly interesting. She takes a character intense trait (some might say a character flaw but not me) that makes the characters interesting and complex, and makes you see below the surface. Heck she makes the characters see below their own surface and grow from what they think they are, while making them come together in a way that is both interesting conflict but also seems to make them (with hiccups in there) committed to each other. There are the twists, turns and relationship bumps along the way, but that just draws the read more intently into the storyline.

On top of that, this series which branches distantly from the Cross My Heart (wilde ways series), where angst and often murder/missing people/protection is the call of the day. What can be more interesting than that?

The conversations with both Delilah and Archer are witty, fun to read, intense, and real to life. The characters are so interesting that even if this plot was average, they would make the book more than worth reading. And no worries there because the plot is engaging and keeps your nose stuck to the book. Yep, sleepless night here reading this and I'm not sorry at all that I'm grumpy as heck today. Well worth it.

And the sex scenes were hot. But what was great was that they didn't overpower the story. Everything was in good balance.

So in summary, Frozen in Ice is one of my favorite books. Recommend highly. I really can't say that enough.

The book has it all and will have you wanting more of the witty banter, hot heat, suspense and a plot that will melt ice!

Delilah “Lila” Darrow dresses to impress her target Archer Radcliffe, billionaire, reclusive and maybe a murderer.

4.5 Stars! Another excellent story by Cynthia Eden!! The "whodunnit" kept you guessing right up until the very end and the culprit did not disappoint. The only thing I wish we could've gotten a little more of is character development... I'd say that Archer came the furthest from the "iceman" he was in the beginning, but we didn't get much from Delilah; I would've loved to see her reporter side fleshed out a little more. That being said, the plot development was excellent as were the side characters we got. Memphis is vying for position of favorite character!! The chemistry between Delilah and Archer was white hot and they played off each other so well, especially Delilah. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this book and I am getting ready to pre-order the next one- in what I hope will be a looong series just as soon as I hit 'submit' on this review!! Cynthia Eden is a go-to, one-click author for me and I'd highly recommend any of her stories.

This book was AMAZING! Delilah is a badass heroine; we need more like her. She is strong, so smart, and doesn’t put up with stupidity. I love when the heroine isn’t a pushover. I loved the character growth in Archer. You want to hate him the first chapter. He’s arrogant and a typical rich guy. But, as the story progresses, you really do see the ice crack, and he is a wonderful man. The growth and love between the characters is as good as it gets, no insta-love in this story! Eden is an amazing storyteller. The plot line and writing is flawless and well detailed. I can’t wait for more Memphis, as he literally made me LOL. The next book is an automatic purchase for me.

When this book started, I was intrigued with the plot. And it only got better. There was a great balance of romance, steam, mystery, suspense, and action. Archer was called Alpha in some reviews, he's really a Gamma (a term I just learned) because he is domineering, but actually cares for lots of people--and Delilah saw that in him. The chemistry and relationship between the two was fun, too! And of course the solving of the murder was expected and the stuff of a Hollywood action movie. I don't give lots of 5 stars, but I did think this book deserves it.
