Broken bodies and bloody messages are appearing in the darkest corners of New York City. Infected werewolves are roaming the streets attacking innocents. The Dark Council demands answers. They summon Simon and Tristan to investigate.
The evidence points to the work of a powerful mage, unfortunately, there is only one mage in the city powerful enough to cause this kind of infection - Tristan Montague. Now, Simon and Tristan must locate the source of the magical infection before the Dark Council declares Tristan a dark mage, destroys the werewolves, and shatters the fragile peace in the supernatural community.

Not to forget Monty's old love interest showing up, and she is not one to tick off. A dragon whom seems to be playing both sides, and let's not forget that ever loving puppy dog Peaches. And a necromancer that can't seem to take no for an answer.
I enjoyed it very much and cannot wait to see what happens next since Monty has done a few things to make some more interesting people show up in the next book.
As we follow along on this crazy ride, our two heroes are hunted down and they are determined to find the real culprit who is behind the crime. Sanchez once again takes us down many paths, filled with action and great characters. How can you not fall in love with a hellhound named Peaches?
Witty and fun, you will enjoy this continued story of the best detectives in New York City. But, what is the story behind Chi and Simon? I guess we will have to continue to read to find out!
I am definitely hooked on the series, and am heading over to buy book three even now.
Dragons, and werewolves, and Peaches, oh my!
Just read the book, doggone it. You can thank me later.
Top reviews from other countries

After two stepping with Chaos, the guys find themselves jitter bugging about with Hades, a Necromancer, a Dragon and a woman from Monty's past.
Oh yeah along with a other Mage he knows that's gone way, way, way off the rails!
Werewolves are being turned against their will into mindless killing machines. Well more than normal!
Then Monty seems to be sick and changing.........

About Easter eggs. It's good when you have them but if mentioning "the other wizards" is an Easter egg, I think you have too many in that particular area. Peaches is a plus though, but since he's a spawn of Cerberus we're not really worried something bad can happen to him.
And finally a question. How can someone immune to magic still perceive it? Shouldn't it be sort of like how the travelling which is cursed to not perceive the falling star from Stardust?
