I also like how the book gives a clear picture of what it will take to make a career out of writing. It doesn't make unrealistic promises of instant success but gives a great roadmap of how to get there, given time and hard work.
There are a ton of bonus resources available that are also a tremendous help in evaluating yourself, your weaknesses and strengths, figuring out your goals and planning out your strategy. Excellent book, highly recommended.

There are plenty of books out there that will tell you what you need to do, what 'side hustles' to bring in income, how to get yourself in print etc. As well as books on the actual craft of writing.
But this book is the first I've ever read that really takes the time to break down who you are, what your goals are, and the steps you need to take to make that lifestyle change to commit to being an author.
I'm only 20 pages in and this book has already given me more confidence in achieving my goal that any other book I've ever read. Combined with the templates you can access from the authors' website, this 460+ page book is like a one-on-one course to set you up for becoming an author.

All the books in this series provide great insight and advice and this one is no exception.
