whoopi is hilarious

she keeps calling her adult daughter , who is taking a prisoner , to visit her dying mother and asking her silly questions, like : where are the frozen waffles. this prisoner knows how to have a good time, while on furlough. she has 36 hours away and she wants to squeeze a lot of fun in, like eating and getting her hair done , at a beauty school. if you want comedy and who wouldn't, this movie is for you.

Surprisingly Pleased

The story lacks in some character development and the pacing is off at some points but Tessa Thompson, Melissa Leo, Whoopi Goldberg & surprisingly Lala Anthony all bring enough charm to overlook those shortcomings.

Not Funny !

Milissa Leo should stick to drama, didn't laugh once, had an awful time watching to the end for a laugh didn't happen.

One liners are worth it

Not the best storyline, but Melissa Leo is good as a comedic lead. Whoopi has some gems, but overall it's solid as a wine and takeout kinda flick.
