With everything that happened at the club recently, I didn't have any time for love. At least, I didn't think I did. We all just went through hell. Not too long ago, we found out there was a rat in the club, and it turned out to be our Prez's girlfriend at the time. I never expected to actually like hanging out with the schoolteacher she set me up with, but I did.

Only, Chloe and I are from two completely different worlds, and I'm not blind to that fact. I find myself not telling her the whole truth about me and the club, because I want this to work. But keeping the truth from her begins to slowly eat away at me. Chloe is a sweet woman and dedicated teacher. She hasn’t had luck where men are concerned starting with her date from her senior prom. Fury goes on a date with her out of respect for his mother and ends up hitting it off with her. He is good to her and his mother. Unfortunately what he does for his club nearly drives Chloe away.

I am not sure what the point of starting the story with her being taken advantage of by her prom date and the bullying from his ex except to point out her poor choice in men. Also the run in with the bully 7 years later seemed pointless. They play no real part in the story.

The chemistry between Feng (Fury) and Chloe was good. But there something that didn’t quite do it for me. It’s an okay read though.

One thing that made me lose my patience is that Fury’s initial description as told to us from Chloe’s POV when they first met described him as bald. Yet in later interactions , he was said to have hair! This may be minor but it is distracting to the readers.

There is no way a rational person would have accepted him back without more info. He told her nothing. I get the select secrets but this incident needed more explanation. It makes her seem dumb because she's just jumping in after finding that out but not receiving info about it. It just makes no sense.

Fury's Torment (Satan's Raiders MC Book 4) by Elizabeth Knox and Lena Bourne continues the ongoing battle the club faces that is full of MC drama, danger, violence and plenty of steamy moments as we witness the ride or die emotional journey between Fury aka Feng and Chloe.

Fury and Chloe's journey is a fast paced instantaneous connection. So much drama surrounds the club as they are still dealing with the ongoing chaos by the 17's when their mole was taken out. Everything that Fury thought he didn't want as he sees his brothers finding love will change when his mother sets him up with her co-worker. Once they meet, the chemistry between them is intense as these two begin a relationship that is smoking hot, gritty and full of desire as these two were meant to be together. Love how we get an insight into their Chinese/Korean culture as well as the witty banter and camaraderie between Fury's twin brother and the other members of the club was refreshing as they give him a hard time about his feelings for Chloe. As Fury and Chloe spend more time with each other they soon declare their love but Fury is keeping who he truly is from her. Now Fury is at odds as he knows he is keeping the truth from Chloe about what he and his brothers really do. When Breaker decides to attack the enemy has he gone to far? Will Fury end up losing Chloe when she learns he and his brothers were involved in the gang attack? Now a miscommunication threatens to take away Fury's happiness when Chloe confronts Fury about the attack, angry she runs from him. Fury is now left in pain and is spiraling out of control keeping to himself as he finds solace in a bottle. Now Fury's mother and the other ol'ladies help Chloe understand how these tough uncompromising men love hard and are fiercely protective of their women even though they are unable to divulge club policy. Will she follow her heart and give him a chance to explain as all she can think of is Fury, she misses and loves him and wants to build a future with him? Can Chloe be with this man flaws and all and disregard what the club does as she finally hears him out, they come together expressing the overwhelming connection between them in an explosive way. Now as they explore this new found love , Chloe discovers with Fury by her side she has embraced the members of the club that she views as her family as they look towards the future. Just when they think they can relax, the club learns trouble is headed towards them when another enemy is coming for the Satan's Raiders MC. Elizabeth Knox/Leana Bourne has done an outstanding job with their collaboration, can't wait for the next book to learn how all of this drama will play out.

This is the 4th book in the series but can be read as a standalone. Fury’s mom is determined to find him a good woman. She sets him up on a blind date and he can’t say no to her. He never expects them to hit it off. Boy is he wrong! Things get interesting to say the least. I loved this book!!

Bit of a mess is the best way to describe this instalment in the Satan’s Raiders series. Starts off with a prologue about Chloe’s prom date but then this storyline goes nowhere, seems a totally random thing to spend the prologue explaining. Fury leaves out the more unsavoury aspects of the MC but Chloe finds out but in the end it’s alright that the Satan’s Raiders shoot up a family New Year Eve party where an innocent child is nearly killed because they look after their own. Oh and the men of Satan’s Raiders blindly follow the orders of their President and don’t even have the guts to say anything at all even if they disagree. A very lacklustre addition to the series. Billed as a dark romance but it was definitely on the very light side of dark.
