1: The pipe you are cutting needs to be anchored somehow or it will be significantly harder to get the needed twisting motion with the wrench.
2: Oil the chain! I used air tool oil and it worked great.
3: Once you have the wrench around the pipe, do a light squeeze for at least 1/4 turn, 1/2 turn would be better but in tight spaces a 1/4 will work. Then squeeze the handles REALLY hard and you will feel the blades sink into the small groove. Hold as tight as you can and twist 1/4 to 1/2 inch turns back and forth. Don't let your grip loosen.
It took me about 7 minutes to do this pipe in the pictures, so it does take a little work to get it done, but nothing labor intensive. Overall I am very happy with this tool, did the job in a tight space no problem.
I really love that it only requires a quarter turn freedom of movement to make the cut, and very little clearance as well.
At the price, I feel it is worth it, and bought another one to work on another exhaust.
There is a replacement chain available, but at the moment, it is the same price as the entire tool...
Overall this is a good product if used properly. I made the mistake on my first exhaust cut to only rotate the cutter 1/4 of a rotation to cut the pipe. This resulted in an uneven cut and the necessity to get another tool to cut through the last 1 inch that was missed by the cutter.
I advise at least 1/2 rotation per movement to cut evenly.
The grip is nice and easy to hold. Definitely easier in tight spots than using a power saw. Also a bit safer. A hacksaw could be used as a replacement, but it would be awkward to hold and difficult to get long strokes.

Note: in order to preserve the cutting edges on the chain blades a little longer, I've read its' recommended to spray the blades and the pipe you're cutting with some lube/oil for a smoother operation. This was how I did it and it worked very well. :)
But I was absolutely wrong, the tool works fantastic
Without any practice, just the first time I cut the exhaust pipe of my Honda CRV in less than 5 minutes.
Just put a generous amount of WD40 in the chain and ready to use.
