Galaxy Run: A Sci-Fi Thriller (Gunn and Salvo Book 1) Kindle Edition
TWO (MOSTLY) HONEST BOUNTY HUNTERS. ONE UNIMAGINABLE ALIEN SECRET.
When deep space bounty hunters Gunn and Salvo chase down a teenager linked to the catastrophic loss of a space station, everything about the job feels off.
For starters, the stolen ship is full of priceless treasures from humanity's lost past.
And then there's the target itself. It ain't quite human, at least not like anybody has seen before.
But the biggest red flag of them all? Honest people are lying.
So Gunn and Salvo do the one thing they swore they would never do on a job: Get curious.
Before they know it, they're the ones on the run with a bounty on their heads ... and the fate of humanity in their hands.
Galaxy Run is a sci-fi thriller featuring a pair of unforgettable bounty hunters, a not-so-innocent teenager, and a sadistic enemy hellbent on destruction.
If you like your sci-fi packed with pulse-pounding action, JUMP IN.

Ditto the 'Feds,' the police force. We don't know whom they represent or why they have that nomenclature. They seem to be in more or less instant communication with other outposts in space at any distance, again with no explanation.
The bad guy has super human powers, again with no explanation. He seems to have even scarier, creepier bosses, again-no explanation. And the book does not conclude, it simply stops. I get setting up the sequel but it still rankles when that happens.
So why the high rating? It is very good writing all through the story, never mind the plot disappointments. I have read dozens of the Amazon Prime offerings and this is a good one. I like the writing style of the author and the characters strongly enough to overlook any slights. Salvo and Gunn are people to hang with in the deep black, where ever that may be.
The story follows consistently, but the next path is not clear.
