Genesis: A Military Sci-Fi Series (Holy War Book 1) Kindle Edition
It was every starship captain’s nightmare, and for Travis Miller, it was his own personal hell.
He’d done everything by the book, but when the Tahni had attacked him and his crew, there was no choice but to return fire and destroy the first alien vessel humans had ever encountered.
Excoriated in the press, his career in shambles, Travis is exiled to a long patrol of the outer colony worlds. Forgotten, except as a bad example…until the Tahni prove him right by declaring war on the human Commonwealth.
Now, Travis Miller is the tip of the spear. Humanity’s best hope for turning back an overwhelming assault on human space. Because to the Tahni, humans are infidels and this is a holy war…
Don't miss the next explosive series from the #1 Amazon Bestselling author of Contact Front, Rick Partlow. This is Military Sci-Fi the way it's meant to be. It's perfect for fans of Jay Allan, Jasper T. Scott, and Scott Bartlett.

Space battles that are fought without inertial dampeners and crews suffering under high G forces.
Loss of life.
No godlike weapons so superior that just one shot kills the enemy. Tactics and maneuvering to bring weapons to bear at the correct time.
So refreshing to read.
Looking forward to the next.
A word-for-word reader like myself can feel like the book is moving right along without feeling too simplistic.
Character development and interactions are great. Clearly written with an adult perspective.
He covers all the battle modes from squad level to fighter spacecraft to big ships vs big ships and each mode is written well to be both exciting and written clearly enough that the reader can understand how the battle would unfold.
The characters are sharply enough written that we care if they get snuffed by some no-good alien or not. I also liked his explanation for the wormholes, the gates that allow long-distance travel.
This is serious, hard military science fiction of the highest level. I like this author.
