Please please please work on the editing!!!!! POV thoughts and conversations are often mislabelled, as when it was Callie's pov being directed to the room she stayed in before, immediately followed by the line "Callie was directed to the room across the hall" when it should've said Willa was directed. Happens quite a bit.

Also, please learn the difference between Ancestor and Descendant, because ancestor is used horribly incorrectly to describe someone who is a descendant of a previous wizard. Ancestor is past, descendant is currently living.

Aside from the numerous editing woes that take the reader out of the fictional world, this series has so far been enjoyable. I'm hoping that Callie will be something special after all, beyond the bracelet bonding to her. And her and Shade to finally get together! Looking forward to the next one!

The author states that things are just as great with being in love when it comes to romance when reaching your 40's is the same as in their 20's right? Yet the "midlife" books I've been reading haven't depict the nature of a women in her 40's true stamina to deal with change. By this age women are more resilient, adaptable, stronger when dealing with change in within themselves as much as their surroundings. I don't see any of these strengths present much in any of these adaptations. I see doubt ( negativity) where their should be a presents of (positive) feelings that would end in a good outcome. We all know that what we put into the universe will becomes a reality if you don't believe in yourself, it will create for those around you the outcome is disastrous. Sallie is suppose to be positive, yet she goes into situations where she needs a positive attitude with a belief in herself for a great outcome in her journey. Magical beings are positive individuals, we may say even arrogant in their personality, but truth is they have strength in their beliefs of a great outcome. The same as people whom are Rich when making deals or going into unknown territory. This is how Callie should be acting and feeling, she has the support of her friends in the belief that she well do 👌. Don't let it be invain!

I like Melinda Chase’s work. It’s fun, light, and easy to read. However, there were a lot of glaring errors in this book that could have been caught with some editing. Things like referring to Callie as Willa, and vice versa; Shade looking up towards the ceiling where Callie’s bedroom was, yet in she lives in a one story house based on the other books, AND the next chapter where she walks down the hall to the living room; missing words in sentences, etc. I found all of these things jolted me out of the story, and I was getting annoyed. If the next book has similar issues, I probably won’t continue the series.

Talk about your cliff hangers, this one is a dozie. I can't imagine how Calle just keeps rolling with the punches but when you have friends and family in mortal danger you find the strength to put down the evil. Can't wait for the next book.
