Embarrassing

This is so low budget - and a terrible way to give tribute to one of the greatest singers of the 20th century. The person who they interviewed throughout the film takes it down another 20 notches. Why weren't more notable people interviewed or involved in this project? And lastly - the film quality is something taken from the 60's. There is just so much badness in this for me to waste my breath. Please - George deserves so much more than this trash!!!

Low budget, poorly done.

Poorly done. Very slow and boring. Does not do George any justice. Skips over most of his career.

Nothing new here, and done better by others.

Unfortunately does not frame George's talent in a compelling manor, what little of his music is highlighted was not even his best (maybe due to copyright). Also failed to portray the anguish and disappointment he felt in his later years. There are better portraits of the singer readily available out there, even on Youtube, I would skip this one.

Where are you .. Georgie ...

Let me first say this.. I have been a fan of Wham and George Micheal since I was a teenager. The music that George recorded is simply timeless. Unfortunately his personal life has come to over shadow his career . Like that of Whitney Houston,Micheal Jackson who all knew Mega -Stardom in the 1980's and 1990's. In order to really capture his life .. it would have been best to have his family member's, sibling's and other footage. This was very ..short and maybe it was a budget situation. Next time when considering a biography of a public person. Add more to the subject ... or other obscure details that aren't specifically known to the audience. I'm surprised his family members hadn't slapped a suit against this production company ?

Great artist, greater human being

Poor production, the narrator's voice is louder than the music so up and down with my headphones. Really wished they had put in some of his great videos or at least part of them. Ripped off by Sony (Tommy Mattola), just like Michael Jackson was, hate TM and Sony. Wonderful that he was such a philanthropist, I didnt know that. Recommend. (And PS, who cares that someone is gay?)

Is there a Zero star rating possible?

Take an interesting and historical figure and ask every uncharismatic person who seems to have no connection to the music, sexuality or any of the important themes that could be illustrated and then add repetitive bad archival footage that gives zero insight and that is what you get.

Superficial, poorly constructed bio of a great singer/songwriter who deserves much better. Clips are repeated numerous times throughout, large portions of his early solo career are passed over and far too much time is spent on the end of his career detailing the Symphonica tour and his death. People you don't know or care about are interviewed and add nothing of interest to the proceedings. Highly disappointing.

Mediocre!

I've been a huge fan of George Michael since the debut of Wham, but this film misses the mark. Some of the biographical facts are compelling, but the film fails to feature the music that made him a legend. As if that wasn't enough to justify a 2-star rating, the resolution doesn't come close to HD.
