The set of books follows a family through ups and downs....But, really? Two fortunes in gold, one brewpub that takes anywhere from six months to five years, a little girl who goes from six to twelve to seven and the twelve again, the matriarch who is called 'spry' at seventy eight (most 78's would be very displeased with that designation, the sixty something men being treated as if they are ancient. Sorry, but your timeline checker should be fired. On the other hand, the Bradleys are an iteresting family

I loved the series very heart warming family dynamic , loved the intrigue mixed with romantic interlude.
But......I found the plot device of constant break -ins and other nefarious goings on a little irritating from a family which includes a crime reporter, her FBI agent husband, and their cyber-security brother. I find it very doubtful that there are no cameras or security systems in
place at neither the farm, the house, or any business around the property,not withstanding an on going feud with a mafia family.
If it was just the depression era characters involved in the( hide it in the mattress) mentality I could shrug it off.

What a great way to end this series with Georgie! He is a hoot, yet down to earth. Just looking to always do the right thing and find the one for him. So much fun to read this series. The characters are loving, warm. You laugh, you cry. So much fun to wrap up a tiny sliver of storyline from book one. It is not the whole story by any means. But it sure keeps you wondering. Mary Jane Forbes has such a way with descriptions, feelings. This is also a standalone, but read the others first and get to know the Bradley family!!!!!
