This turned out to be my favorite season of TV in 2017 (so far)
Verified purchase
This turned out to be my favorite season of TV in 2017 (so far). It's not for everyone, but if you love satire that pokes fun at both the movie industry and mob movies, you'll love it. It's like Episodes meets Breaking Bad. I'm a fan of the novel and the original movie. What makes this really stand out is that they didn't just repeat the original story and expand it. Like Fargo the TV series, they keep the tone and world, but create a new story. Instead of Chili Palmer from Miami ending up Hollywood, it's two low-rent fixer types from Pahrump, Nevada that end up in Hollywood. They go to do a collection, it doesn't go well and they leave with a screenplay. Three hours later, they're in the movie business. Chris O'Dowd and Sean Bridgers as the leads are excellent. So are Lidia Porto as their mob lady boss (she owns a casino in Pahrump and needs her money laundered) and Ray Romano as the D-list producer they end up working with. Ray Romano's hairstyle, in particular, is genius. I watched it over the course of a couple nights and was very sad when it ended!

This Series Blew My Pants Off!
Verified purchase
This show is so entertaining, I never knew what was going to happen next with all the sudden plot twists. Finding out some of the characters backstories was a real highlight. I absolutely love the female villain played by Lidia Porto. She is so damn good at being sinister, she steals every scene! Lidia Porto and Ray Romano are absolutely believable onscreen together. Chris O'Dowd and Sean Bridgers are the best hitman since GoodFellas. I believe every scene, not a single moment of bad hammy acting. Total intensity through the entire season. This series blew my pants off with the great script, fantastic directing, excellent mayhem and violence inline with the plot that it kicks the movie version to the curb....and I really enjoyed the movie! Great stuff here!

Single parenting while spouse is out of town...quick entertaining read with practical tips
Verified purchase
I like the book, it is about single parenting; specifically, it's about a dad caring for three boys, while the wife travels for work. The book is written by the dad's perspective, but it can apply from the mom's point, or other situations. The book provides a systematic approach, offers practical tips on how to plan the day, from getting up in the morning, dropping-off and picking up the children, from school, or day-care, to putting them to bed. It is entertaining and is a quick read.

I can tell the book is a first edition as it needs some editorial corrections.

In reading the book I thought of some unfinished projects that I will use the tools in the book to tackle.

BRILLAINT PRODUCTION
Verified purchase
I call a movie or series brilliant when it ranks highest on five or six levels: 1) Storyline or Plot; 2) Characters; 3) Dialogue; 4) Creativity of Writers, Director, etc.; 5) Acting; 6) Entertainment. One of the best produced dark comedic dramas ever. I watched the first two seasons four times before I burned out. I have not seen Season 3 yet.

If you love the film
Verified purchase
The film "Get Shorty," is a hidden gem. So much so that a sequel was made. And now, a television show. The strength of productions trickles down from the former to the latter. If you love the film, give this a try.

NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO SEND ONE PRODUCT TO MULTIPLE ADDRESSES
Verified purchase
You select for example 4 DVDs. You need to add 3 new address, going to 4 different addresses. So you click add an add the address then the response is all 4 DVDs are going to the same new address ? So I had to cancel & resubmit 3 times until i had all the new address updated, then could select from the list of addresses list... . It should have a option to add multiple address. Or just an option to add additional addresses to list of favorite. Otherwise, great service !
