The perfect binge-watch

Well worth watching, especially for Laurie Metcalf's performance!! This series is based on a British series of the same name. I found it hilarious, and wish it had gone past three seasons.

Just so-so

Not much laugh-out-loud laughing, maybe because so much of it reminded me of life in a dysfunctional organization that promotes blow-hards, no-nothings and don't-care-a-fig folks. Only Didi, the lowest person on the totem pole has any common sense or caring, so I watched her survive her environment. Was hoping for more than screeching and dodging responsibility from Laurie Metcalf's character to let her actually use her talents. Finished the first season, won't pay for the second.

I;m Hooked On "Getting On" on HBO

What a wonderfully funny show with superb acting. This is one of the best shows I have seen in a while and after viewing the first episode, I had to
sign up for a subscription to HBO so that I could watch all of the seasons. I'm so happy I did.

Having worked in the health profession for many years, I found this hilarious!! I hope they do another season. Laurie Metcalf is funny as she plays an insecure doctor hoping for greater things than working in a rehab unit. The two nurses are also very good and it is fun to see the patients, many old actresses. I think one of them was in the Dick Van Dyke Show, not sure of that. The politics is spot on as medical management tries to use the business management tools to improve patient care or rather come to my hospital instead of theirs. There is one scene where they add a water fountain to improve patient morale. Of course, everyone is delightfully flawed. Highly recommend.

This is supposed to be a home run, but ...

This is supposed to be a home run, but it is nothing near a home run. Watched the first two episodes cannot tolerate more. If this is satire, I forgot to laugh.

I found the all the characters believible and engaging, if you have ever had a parent or loved one in this type of unit, it will make cry and laugh.
Cant wait to see what happens next season.
