Editorial Reviews

"Highlyrecommended. A delightful and wildly engaging wordless story book ... utterlyunique. A polar bear hitches a ride on a ship from Greenland to Antarctica, where he encounters penguins for the first time. He mistakes them for bowlingpins! Then the fun begins. The key to getting children interested in readingand books is to engage them in powerful ways. What better way than a book withno words? This concept draws children into the story and allows them to usetheir own imaginations and creativity to create a story that belongs to them, making it up as they go along. The artist has been gifted with a marvelousability to use illustrations to display a wide range of emotions andpersonality traits within a charming and very funny setting. The illustrationscreate curiosity, while leaving plenty of open space for individual creativity.Critical thinking is a skill all children should develop at an early age. InPolar Bear Bowler, kids can read into the framework of images whatever theymight like. For that reason alone, they will likely never tire of this book, asit can be a different story every time it is picked up." - Linda M.,
