Rachel, along with her two sons, Andrew and George, has recently left California to move in with Grandma Mary, and help care for her since her diagnosis of breast cancer. Rachel had moved away after high school, leaving with Roger for California. While they made it there, married, it wasn't a good marriage. They divorced and she is ready to start a new life in her old town.
Matt Miller is shocked to see Rachel again. It's been six years, but he never forgot her. Now, she is back to care for Mary, but she isn't alone--she has two sons.
"Second shot at this relationship."
The story's plot will have Matt and Rachel becoming reacquainted and him meeting her two sons. She was the one that got away and yet, he feels he must be cautious. With the help of two meddling ladies, Mary and Doris, they will have Matt and Rachel spending plenty of time together. I liked how Matt is so good with her sons, talking to them, playing with them, and truly getting to know them. As things seem to be progressing, trouble comes calling and tries to sabotage what is happening. Will the truth come out and will these two find that they still have feelings for one another?
"Her Christmas wish had come true."
