Excellent pressure cooker. Easy to use. It is clear that this pressure cooker is very well made and I love the fact that it has a stainless steel inner pot and not non-stick Teflon. At this introductory pricing, one can buy 2 and still have money left over vs buying the most popular brand here on Amazon. Most pleased.
Update 5-16-2015
After using this pressure cooker at least 3 times a week, it still performs beautifully. I especially like the egg function. 3 min on the high setting makes hard-boiled eggs with the yellowest yolk and set-but-still-tender egg white. No dark sulfur rings at all and best of all, it is so easy to make. I have also used the pot-in-pot technique to make dishes directly in the serving dishes (basically using the pressure cooker as a high-pressure steamer) for stews and oatmeal and they came out perfect as well. This method allows me to cook different dishes consecutively and cuts down on the dishes to wash. :)
One great thing about this electric pressure cooker is that is is absolutely quiet when cooking and emits basically no vapor so your house is not filled with the smell of whatever you're cooking. Can't say the same thing about the stove-top pressure cooker or the slow cooker.
This pressure cooker should not be used as a canner as the pressure changes during the cooking process. It is not designed for that.
I'm very pleased with the initial quality of this pressure cooker and I hope it is built to last.
Update 7-6-2015
The pressure cooker is still going strong. I have been making yogurt with this. It can accommodate 7 8oz mason jars. I just mix some store bought yogurt and milk and pour the mixture into the jars. Add luke warm water to the pot until it almost reaches the level of the milk in the jar. 12 hours later, I have really tasty home made yogurt. Much more economical than keep buying yogurt plus I know it has no additives. :)
Update 6-29-2016
This pressure is still working great. Average use is maybe 3 times a week. I did buy an extra inner bowl and an extra silicone ring so that I can separate meat dishes from non-meat dishes to avoid interfering of flavors/smells. I also use the inner bowl directly on my gas stove to brown meat/saute vegetables before I proceed to use the pressure cooker for stews or soups, etc. I also use the inner bowl as a regular 6-quart pot on my stove. I hardly ever use my stove-top pressure cooker since I got this since I do not need to baby this thing while it is cooking.

Terrible.*update* 6/11/20 I did the research myself and purchased a new thermal fuse for 6 bucks. I installed it and am back up and running. it was very easy and saved me having to buy a new unit. This is my new favorite kitchen toy ever brought into my house! I can take a whole frozen chicken straight from the freezer, out it in the pot with seasoning and a carton of broth and have the yummiest chicken on the table in 45 min and it will just melt in your mouth And off the bone. Depending on the size of chickens, I can typically cook 2 standing side by side at once. I'm so hooked on this chicken that I fix chicken salad from it twice a week, basically eating chicken salad from my instapot daily. Teriyaki pork roast is our second fav.

I was so excited to get this, love the size! Great for parties. I used it once for chili for a big party, worked great.
I had a St Patrick’s day dinner party for 10, loaded the pot, turned it on, cooked for 5 mins and died! I can’t tell you how upset I am. I had to separate everything and put it in 3 different pots to cook it. What was planned for 20-30 minutes of cooking, now took 1-1/2 hours. Luckily my guests were very patient!
I also noticed the valve on top for pressure or steam cooking is not holding very well.
Not sure I will want another one of this brand, but will try one more (I purchased the warranty).
For it to die on the second use is quite disappointing and frustrating!
i did contact GoWise, they had me send pictures of the non-working cooker, then a picture of the cord cut and told me to dispose of it. They sent me a new one, which I opened a few months later, as I only use this for large functions, to find that they sent the cooker only, no cover, no insert. I called and asked them to send the necessary items to be told that I should have kept the old cooker to swap out parts. They offered me a 20% discount on purchasing the items needed.
I went online to GoWise and selected the insert pan and the cover - grand total for both was over what I actually paid for the entire pressure cooker, even with the discount.
Customer service was rude and I will never recommend their products again! I tried being polite and patient, but no resolution.

Took out of the box and abused this thing for about 20 hours straight. WOW this thing can really cook a huge batch of pulled pork in about an hour. And it is the best I have ever had. I also just kept loading and pressing the buttons and it kept up. finished with amazing baked beans from dried bags. I have not seen another large one like this to even compare to, but clearly this has the added power as well. Clean up was so easy..... almost a joke. There is a learning curve as far as not real clear on the whole "slow cook" or "pressure cook" options and for me to do what I needed I had to come hit the button a second time which was a bit annoying but not close to a deal breaker. For those that were wondering, yes it will saute so you can cook in only 1 pan.

Small for a 14 quart cooker, no MANUAL setting. maximum 1 hour pressure time "use multigrain"
Reviewed in Canada on August 18, 2020Color: SilverSize: 14-QtVerified Purchase
I just realised that there is no "MANUAL setting", that's the one I use the most, to get around this you pick a setting and adjust the time, am taking 2 points off, it is also limited to a max of 1 hour of pressure time "but only in multi grain mode", the other pressure modes max out between 30 and 45 minutes, tech support was helpful in figuring this out. I expected this to take up more space than it does, great. It is not made in USA, it's written right on the box "made in China" but so is everything else these days. The lid is made in such a way as to make cleaning the inside of the lid more difficult than an Instant Pot, The size is great, don't have to hack appart a leg of lamb it will fit in this. Heats up quiclky enough "depending on how much stuff you have in it of course". Cooked up beef filet trimings white skin and all, everything was nice and tender and made a nice stew, so stew setting works well for the quantity I made about 32 minutes. The lid screws on the opposite direction of what we are used to "counter clockwise to seal, clockwise to open" takes about half a second to figure out. Am happy with the purchase.

Completely died without warning. 5th time we used it
Reviewed in Canada on May 20, 2021Color: SilverSize: 14-QtVerified Purchase
The interface really is not that intuitive and the lid is often very difficult to get to seal. But I put that aside and decided to keep it because I love a pressure cooker. Then we put a roast in it and it cooked for 15 minutes and just died. No power, no lights, nothing.
There doesn't seem to be a way to reset it. Very dissappointed in this product. I've looked online and found others complaining about this. One guy made a youtube video on how to take it apart and replace a heat monitor that is a safety feature that blew on his. No thanks, I don't feel like rebuilding a pressure cooker today. It should have at least lasted a couple of years.

Throw 8kg of meat with your favorite spices then throw it in portioned containers with some some greens and carbs and you got your meals for the next few weeks. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. Unless you pick the wrong spices and find yourself eating something terrible for a month and then it's Stressy pesty lemon zesty.

Cook a whole meal without heating up your kitchen
Reviewed in Canada on August 2, 2019Color: SilverSize: 14-QtVerified Purchase
I love this cooker. With our summer heat rising into 40celsius, I do not use my oven. I cook big meals in the cooker and there is no big heat rise in my kitchen. I stacked steak, potatoes, and corn in it at the same time for a dinner for 4. It was yummy, tender, and healthier than frying. I also love that I can cook meat from frozen when I didn't remember to thaw it, and still get tender, tasty meat. I sauted chicken wings, then used a rack to set them on while pressure cooking and they were tender and juicy. I am anxious to try pressure canning and using it when I make my yoghurt.
