If you're expecting a fast-paced hospital drama such as House or Grey's Anatomy, this is not that storyline. The premise, writing, and acting are all top level and the story that enfolds is subtle, exploring a myriad of angles and ethical considerations that researchers (animal scenes bring hope to humans but cause suffering for some of our most intelligent mammalian 'brothers'), doctors, and hospital admins face every day. Powerful acting by all. Grammer and Stiles were believable in their roles and carried the weight of the heavy issues at hand with each scene. Garofalo gives a refreshingly strong performance, as well. This movie will undoubtedly spark many household discussions and will stay with the viewer long after the credits roll.
