Subtle, yet powerful
Verified purchase
If you're expecting a fast-paced hospital drama such as House or Grey's Anatomy, this is not that storyline. The premise, writing, and acting are all top level and the story that enfolds is subtle, exploring a myriad of angles and ethical considerations that researchers (animal scenes bring hope to humans but cause suffering for some of our most intelligent mammalian 'brothers'), doctors, and hospital admins face every day. Powerful acting by all. Grammer and Stiles were believable in their roles and carried the weight of the heavy issues at hand with each scene. Garofalo gives a refreshingly strong performance, as well. This movie will undoubtedly spark many household discussions and will stay with the viewer long after the credits roll.

I'm a big Julia Stiles fan and she didn't disappoint in this latest film. Kelsey Grammer did a wonderful job as well, along with the rest of the cast. I found the story intriguing as it kept my attention throughout. Our healthcare workers our so very important. I highly recommend checking it out!

Truly exceptional and controversial movie to watch!

The casting is exceptional! The movie is very powerful! The possible reality of doctors and science engineering the Animal-to-Human Organ Transplants and how it could save so many lives is amazing and scary at the same time because of it's playing with God, Mother nature and the Human. Also, to see how unemotional and to the facts it can be in the medical industry decisions are made which makes it so very emotional! Talk about the on/off switch and the price of what blood money can do. Truly exceptional and controversial movie to watch!

Quien decide

Veala?

I expected better from the other reviews and list of great cast. Overall I enjoyed it, very interesting to think about how the process is really done.

Julia Stiles is one of my favs so I was thrilled to find this psychological thriller. She does not disappoint.
Aside from the great acting in this movie is the message we all see so clearly today.
Health care is for profit only.

Confusing at times with flashbacks.

I expected more from the preview, my mistake. Overall worth watching. I think the use of the f-word could have been avoided and enjoyed by everyone. Why do directors or writers think that helps the movie? In this one you have to pay attention to Kelsey’s hair to know if it’s now or 7 years earlier. Not worth the rental fee, but worth watching it when Prime makes it free

Well Acted and Thought Provoking.

This is a very well acted movie. Though it is formulaic at times, the movie does pose questions about the transplant process, and who warrants transplants and why. This movie is not necessarily uplifting, but it does offer hope. I recommend it to those who enjoy dramas, medical or otherwise.
