It’ll be no big deal, they said.
I was only supposed to walk through a Hellish Ring or two so we could find out my demonic origin. Easy peasy, Right? Wrong.
Now I’m alone, locked up in some freak’s dungeon, and mourning the loss of my demons.
Could they have done the impossible and survived the attack? Can they find me here? I don’t even know where here is. And…why the hell do I have wings?
I don’t have time for this shit. I need to figure out what I am, where I am, and how to get out of here. Because I have a Hellgate to guard and my demons to search for, and nobody is going to stand in my way. Not even the Devil himself.

Ivy Asher is an International Bestselling Author that’s addicted to chai, swearing, and laughing a lot—but not in a creepy, giggling alone kind of way. She loves snow storms, her family of two humans and two fur-babies, and writing badass women in books that will have you begging for more. She has worlds and characters just floating around in her head, and she’s lucky enough to be surrounded by amazing people who support that kind of crazy.

Delta wakes up in Nihil, grieving her demons and ready to unleash her anger at the 'unfairness' of it all. Apparently, losing her demons, after battling alongside them, was the kick-in-the-pants she needed to realize what she had with them. This revelation is a turning point for her to stop denying or fighting what she is or was meant to become. The rest of her block is gone, and her full demon form emerges -- which she seems to love certain perks of, but not all ... She's freaked out by birds and therefore her wings, but it was actually pretty interesting, and at times quite amusing, how this was written. Similarly, she needs to work on her relationship with her scythe.
I love Delta's mates, especially Jerif, and I love how each of them offers her something different and uniquely them. Oh, and Delta gets to live out one of her fantasies with Iceman (wink) 😉 and the entire scene is marvelous and hot AF 🔥🔥🔥... "Get your head in the game, Maverick!" (lol) 😂
Delta still has moments of petulant tantrums, irrational rage, and getting trapped in her own head instead of asking questions and stating her worries like a f**king adult. *sigh* BUT the annoyance factor was a lot less than book 1 AND there are a lot of LOL moments, she starts to find her badassery, and once she commits to the Hs, she doesn't rabbit again. She does grow in this book, and we get to see her come into her own as well as develop the relationships with her mates.
Delta finds answers about what she is, about her bio-parents, and over the story we learn more about this Ophidian threat .... Though some of the answers just form more questions. The epilogue drops a pretty big hint as to where the story is going next, in Grave Decisions (book 3). At the time of this review, I've read ahead and the series just gets better.
1. Nauseous means "causing nausea"
2. Nauseated means "feeling sick."
PLEASE don't mix them up.
ALSO:
"If you think (whatever), then you have another THINK (NOT "THING") coming."
Please, please, this makes me cringe every time I read it.
Otherwise, keep up the good work.
The story and characters were just as strong as the last book. And the bow chica bow wow... even steamier than the last.
You definitely want to read the first book before starting this one, but I totally recommend this.

All in all it was a good read.

Her parents are hilarious although I’d die if they were mine!
Ending on another cliff hanger I cannot wait to see what comes next!
