Crying over canals
We never expected to shed tears while watching what appeared to be a gentle travelogue, but it really is so much more. The gracious progression of a loving life together is symbolized by the gentle waterways interspersed with labor and a few clashes. Closing the door on what their life had been, and so many happy memories, while lovingly walking forward into a life where memories are hazy and mingled with loss this beautiful and talented couple are everything we should strive to be.

Best Of ALL The Available Narrowboat, Canal Boat Series
Wonderfully heartwarming, diverse canal boat series which covers as much about life as it does boating. Doesn't waste time on boring canal sections, boat maintenance, trivialities as other series do. Prunella and Tim are charming, endearing, educational, provide wonderful philosophy and keep the show interesting throughout.Amazon shows 4 seasons but it was so popular, an incredible 12 were produced, stopping only because of Prunella's health. Simply superb.

Captivating!
I love this show already. Wow! This couple celebrates being married for fifty years! They are active and lively and still support worthy causes like theatre. They were instrumental in preserving these canals and the water ways and vehicles that travel on them. They are experienced and are coping with aging and its just down real. I'm hooked. Thank you for supporting these types of programs.

Outstanding
I can't recommend this series highly enough. A well-known pair of English actors, married for 50+ years, in their 80's, continuing the canal boat journeys that have been part of their life together. She is slowly slipping into dementia, but copes well crewing on the waterways, while he navigates. Beautiful scenery of course, and a slow peaceful pace. Interesting bits history about each of the canals. If you love waterways and boats, you'll enjoy this.

Knowledgeable commentary
This one is by far the most interesting commentary on canal boat travel in the UK. The photography is wonderful . Can’t help but admire Tim West and Prunella Scales. They are a charming couple who know how to enjoy life.

Just not very interesting
Watched 2 epidoes of 1st season. Was not particularly impressed with the first episode, even less impressed by the 2nd. Won't be watching the remainder of this season, or any of the other seasons. Quite boring actually.
